The app works
The app works pretty well, but it does lag on switching -/+ modes a lot. Plus, you can’t dim the modes! Only a solid color, which I think isn’t helpful. The colors are kind of random, and it would be nice to be able to assign them for the different patterns, but I understand that asking a lot and would bring the tree closer to Twinkly level. However, just let us dim every mode please!!! The tree stays so bright all the time every pattern.
Edit one year later in 2025. The app keeps crashing. It is dumb. It’s old. It seems to have been abandoned. We need a replacement app or please update this one. I’m so disappointed our tree can’t function without the app to work the lights.

I cannot connect the app to the actual tree
Very disappointed
Very disappointed. I bought this three days ago and I still can’t get the Wi-Fi to connect to the app after many many attempts.
Not reliable
Not a very fancy app, but it does what I need it to do when it doesn’t crash. Which, unfortunately happens to be all of the time. When you click on the “help” button, it takes you to a 403 forbidden page because I don’t think this developer or company is around anymore.
Great idea but app crashes
Have been using this app for 3 seasons and this year each time I select an option the app immediately crashes. This is on iOS 18.1.1. Have tried removing and reinstalling and same problem persists. Please fix ASAP.

'D really give it 2 stars because of the lack of instructions on using the app and getting it to work. My points on the app
1 - make sure get the recent app update
2 - make sure your phone allows permission for the app to access you device's Bluetooth and that your devices Bluetooth is on.
3 - The lights do NOT pair with devices, they are ALWAYS actively listening to ANY signal from ANY device. This means anyone can install the app as well and control your lights too.
4 - If you have more than one set plugged in at once, the app will set that setting for them all. If you want different light styles, plug them in, set settings, unplug, repeat for next set.
5 - The app is universal for ALL of their products. Many features may not work on your set of lights.
6 - The lights themselves (mine at least) have a button that cycles through all the light variations, BUT only the app can turn On/Off the lights, or set the timer. The app does make it easier to choose specific light modes easily with a toggle for other modes.

Crashes all the time. Need to find another app that can take its place

Very cool app for the tree but you can’t pick a color without it crashing or a speed or any option you literally have to open it every change ya make over and over please make an update it’s been 3 years

The App will crash after every selection made for the lights settings. The website for support does not work. Most likely this app will never get fixed. If you have purchased the Costway App controlled Pre-lit LED Christmas tree. It is unfortunately going to irritate you while trying to enjoy your tree.

I loved this app, but this year when we set it up the remote app kept crashing. It’s terrible. Every maybe 10 seconds after I click on something or load the app it crashes. Recommend something different.
Needs a bug fix
The app is straight forward and keeps me from having to cycle through the limited inline remote. But this thing crashes constantly. Literally every time I select a color or speed or brightness, anything, and it crashes. It needs a serious bug fix, update, or replacement.
