Worked great in past. Not now
This app was wonderful when I used it for foaling in 2023 & 2024. But now the mares app just crashes. Also, it used to alert when the phone became disconnected. But now it doesn’t. So it’s actually worse because you think your mare is being monitored only to find out it’s been disconnected for hours. Gives false security. if this doesn’t get fixed I will have to use some other monitoring system, and sad because I used this successfully for 2 years.

No Customer Support
Purchased the poach from Foal App to use in with the App. The poach is of poor quantity and it was damaged. Contacted FoalApp to resolve the issue but they were not helpful. I’ll need to raise a complaint with UKICC to resolve the complaint.

Great in theory. Trying to troubleshoot problems outside the apps commonly asked questions and it seems you’re on your own. No reply from “customer support” and its very expensive which I wouldn’t mind if it was reliable …… please reply to my emails.

This is the second year I’ve used this app. Had some trouble with the connection as I’d unknowingly bought a bad choice cheap phone to use on mare. The email support team were superb, can’t rate them highly enough. I now have a different ph (Motorola)on mare and app is working perfectly. Battery lasts about 3 days and that’s using video to check at least 10 times a day. Love this app!

I use this app every night, I don’t have a new model Samsung but I am using a Samsung S as suggested with my iPhone X (receiver)
The battery lasts all night and I can checking via the camera any time. Very happy with this app and the back up service is excellent.

Do NOT waste your money!
Does not work as advertised. Can’t set an alarm longer than a 45 second lay down period on the mare. If your mare routinely lays down to roll or sleep, you’ll be alerted EVERY time for weeks or however long you decide to use this. We’re out over 300 dollars to install internet, 350 for the rental packet which we had for less than 24 hours and was never able to get to work, 59 dollars of monitoring time we never used and a 99 dollar rental bond. Almost 900 for nothing and NO apology or service. Horrible company.

Poor product
Eats the battery life on the phone very quickly as the app needs to be opened for live view to work. Maximum life is 4 hours. Not reliable for a mare about to give birth.
Great foaling monitor
Love this app, it’s great peace of mind to be able to turn on the camera (& torch!) on the phone on the mares halter and check on her at any time, wherever you are, & to have those notifications when she is lying flat. It’s very clever & I would highly recommend it!
