I really liked the widget and the tags and chart feature. In the first app, there were more variety in the post tomato screen and various quotes. I think with this one, it’s the same one each time. It’s a shame, I looked forward to the random quote each time. Still, highly recommend this app, it’s the best!

The pause button has been added, so really I have no more notes. I like the tag feature quite a bit, being able to know what I’m spending my time in hindsight.

I appreciate the team’s work on this project, even bothering to start this kind of app from scratch to do it all over again with a bigger vision in mind. I respect that! Well wishes, keep focusing. ⭐️

Hi prizedfox, Thanks for your feedback, and I'm sorry for the inconvenience. Regarding the pause function — it has been added in version 2.3. Please update the app and give it a try. As for why we released a brand-new app instead of just updating the original one: Focus Tomato 2 was rebuilt from the ground up with a different architecture, design, and feature roadmap, so it no longer shares the same foundation as the original. That said, the original app will continue to be maintained, so you're welcome to keep using whichever one suits you better. If you have any other suggestions, please feel free to let me know. Overall, the app is great though and it has more features, but the widgets are the same as the first version.

Can’t pause the timer.

I don’t know why they wanted me to pay an entirely new three dollars when they could’ve just updated the original app as it’s not all that different.

I also can’t pause this timer like I can in the original app, which is extremely important, so I’ll be using the original app.

Same app as 1st version disappoint

I love the first version, but they advertise iCloud sync which it's a lie because I don't see any sync times between devices. Each device my iPhone and iPad stills shows their own data. And the iPad version sucks it doesn't go full screen as the 1st version instead it's a small screen looks like iPhone screen.

Hi Cindy, Thank you again for your feedback — and I want to come back with a proper update. On the iCloud sync issue: You were right to be frustrated. The older version of Focus Tomato 2 had a serious bug: the "iCloud Sync" status display wasn't actually reading the system's CloudKit state, so even when sync was failing, the screen would still look like everything was fine. That made you doubt your own data, and that's on us. I'm truly sorry. In version 2.4, we've rebuilt the entire iCloud sync logic. The "Data Sync" section under Settings now shows the real sync status, and we've added a "Data not syncing?" help page to walk you through troubleshooting. Please update to the latest version: https://apps.apple.com/app/id6749494224 If anything still isn't right after updating, please email support@claushuang.com and we'll help you sort it out as soon as possible. On the iPad display: A native iPad layout is still on our roadmap. We haven't shipped it yet, but it hasn't been forgotten — we'll fit it into an upcoming update.
