Doesn’t actually control Interface
The app only acts as a remote for the control app running on your computer. I assumed this app would let me use my iOS device to turn on direct monitoring as my computer wasn’t connected at the moment. Apparently not, though. As such I’m not really sure what the point of this app is unless you have a absolutely huge studio that walking across it would really be worse than this app.
Update: the app is actually less useful than I thought when I wrote the above a few months ago. Even if a computer is on and connected and Focusrite control is open, all the app can do is change output levels. It can’t even change between custom mix presets, which is about the only thing I ever want to do with the Focusrite software

Absolutely unusable, constantly loses connection
I am stunned at just how unstable this app is. It takes roughly a full minute to make a connection to the Focusrite Control application running on your computer. Once it finally connects, it maintains a connection for anywhere from 15 seconds to two minutes, and then loses connection again.
I’ve done all the troubleshooting steps, opening ports on my firewall, restarted routers & reconnected… nothing helps. It’s really a shame because remote control of external mixes was one of the selling points for the Focusrite hardware I just got.
I don’t have any such problems with Avid’s Pro Tools control app, which maintains a rock solid connection at all times. So I know it’s possible…

M1 Mac Update
P.S.: If you guys do update this app for the M1 Macs, please leave the App Icon as-is; aesthetic still is very pleasing lol

Clarrett 8PreX
A bit of an interesting app has control but can’t seem to do everything. I also see there was a talkback added, is this only for some of the interfaces? Nice tool but not very useful unless maybe you allow someone to control their headphones on their own.
Crashes
I can’t get into the app nor can I connect the scarlett solo to my iPad without it crashing
I’m on an IPad 11 pro with a usb c to usb c cable.
Could I have a bit of help please and thank you!

Like the previous review…
Not very Mac friendly and would not get past
“Select Device” in the app setup. Now using Logic Remote as a substitute but would really prefer the Focusrite product.

Oh my God! This is THE most pointless app ever!
This does *not* give you the means to adjust your current generation Scarlett's Direct Monitoring, Air, Pad, INST, or input routing options without connecting it to a Desktop PC/Mac and running the Focusrite control panel. Believe it or not, it's just an iOS based remote control for the *desktop* control panel. 🤦🏻♂️ Want to use your Scarlett on the road, in your hotel, etc.? Better bring your entire desktop rig with you, if you plan on making changes to *any* of the aforementioned controls. This wouldn't be an issue, if Focusrite hadn't REMOVED ALL OF THE PHYSICAL CONTROLS on their newest generation of Scarlett interfaces. But, yeah. I mean, you can't make this stuff up. 👎🏻

Just plain doesn't work
Please make an update? I've got it to work once, that's it. All of my software is up to date and on same WiFi network.
Unbelievable
That such a great product line can have such horrible iOS apps and NO SUPPORT for the Scarlett line for iPads???? Fix this or sell you company to someone that actually supports music makers!!
No Support for iPad? Seriously???
I have never written a review for any app, good or bad. But imagine my bitter surprise when I figured out that Focusrite Control on an iPad can’t control a Scarlett 8i6 plugged into that iPad!!! Seriously? To do a simple thing like turn off direct monitoring, I had to plug the Scarlett into the MacBook (which also makes me wonder what the Monitor volume knob on the Scarlett is for). Why on earth an existing iOS app CAN’T control a Scarlett plugged into the iPad, when the MacOS version of Control CAN control a Scarlett plugged into the MacBook is just sheer laziness on the part of Focusrite. I see it so often: Inde devs perform miraculous updates to their apps on a regular basis, while corporate devs release half-baked apps and never fix their most glaring obvious flaws. So disappointed.

Would be nice if we could choose the inputs we want to monitor
Nice app...but I am frustrated that if I want to select a specific input to monitor, I can’t do that in this app. I have to do that on the Mac app.
If you could give us the ability to select inputs from within the iOS/iPadOS app...or even load snapshots or presets...this could be a 5 star app.

No Gain Adjustment
I’m new to the Focusrite interface world but my buddy had a Scarlett, so I thought I’d upgrade and try a Clarett. Downloaded the app...
Problems.
Constantly reconnecting. Not sure why...just won’t stay logged onto my device.
Also...no gain adjustment feature.
The while point of having it is to be away from the my interface...so having gain adjustment linked to the app would be perfect. Similar to Apogees.
All in all not my fave.

Don’t expect this to work anymore
On iOS 14 it doesn’t work at all, instantly crashes when you try to open it. Don’t bother downloading it.
Won’t connect
Doesn’t matter which WiFi I use. It won’t connect. Useless.
Won’t even open
Keeps crashing. How is this useful?
do not download
meters sometimes have a mind of their own, for me they shoot to max volume randomly and unexpectedly. it happened while i was in the other room and blew one of my monitors. i have a brand new phone with no other issues. i highly advise against using this app
Token App
This is a joke. I can’t recall snapshots. Can’t control the op level of linked channels. Can’t adjust the input gains. Can’t really do balls. The only thing I might use is the talkback button to get control down by my hands. Otherwise does no good at all.
Working well.
It crashed a few times on my first attempts to install with my Mac and Clarett 8pre USB, but then it synced fine and now it’s worked pretty well.
Does nothing for me
I don’t have a mac, only an iPad Air 2. I installed this iOS app and it will not find or pair with my Scarlett ii2 3rd gen and I can’t get any sound out of it!
The Scarlett sees both the mic and instrument inputs as does hardware input and output on AUM. I’ve been fighting this for many hours and I’m totally frustrated! I’ve searched the focusrite website and find NO solutions. Feeling like it was a mistake to buy the Scarlett to begin with. Maybe Behringer has a unit that will work?
