Blocks Ads Systemwide

I’m not sure the reason for the poor reviews.

I have been using Fogu for a couple of years and am happy with the ad blocking systemwide. The app rarely needs to be restarted and doesn’t glitch. I haven’t seen an as anywhere on the phone since day one.

I highly recommend.

It works great but...

It works like a charm but it would be really great if you didn’t have to pay for it because I had an adblocker before this that was even better than this one that was completely free with no monthly payment or whatever. I accidentally deleted it and I couldn’t find it on the App Store anymore. I set off to find another blocker and found this one. I had 30 days of bliss until I had to go back to annoying ads that pop up. I can’t pay for it, so it would be awesome if this was free like my previous one that got taken off of the App Store.

Dear user, the app is free of charge and lets you use everything 30 days. After this period you can choose to subscribe for 1/3/6/12 months. The price os shown within the app or in the app description. It might vary depending on your location. Best, fogu team

Blocks ads online and in apps..daily mail and eBay

This is the only app I’ve used that blocks all ads and ads within apps, no more annoying ads in the Ebay app, Vinted app and the daily mail app...the list goes on! You can customize your own black list and add specific websites to your list to block them... bye bye ad choices and taboola. The only issue I had was with my subscription... every time it’s up for renewal payment is taken but the add blocker doesn’t work for around 24hrs after so I have to remove Fogu and download again every time but that’s the only issue I’ve had. I wouldn’t be without this ad blocker now I love it.

Used to work. Now doesnt connect.

I pay the monthly sub for this app and cant connect to any servers whatsoever. Will change to 5 star once this gets fixed

Works with limitations

The app is very straightforward to use and has a nice design. But using the adblock feature brings many limitations: it completely blocks the usage of some apps. For example Siri, Tinder and the App Store render unusable when the adblock feature is on. Thus the app isn't that convenient to use.

No VPN

If it is intended for ad blocking, I agree it does a decent job ( although it miss few, specially audio format ads, JS which caught by others. However, it blocks all traffic 100% on either servers if used as VPN, and if used as ad blocker, you can't use other party VPN, since there is manual configuration for this to integrate in your VPN, so you have to choose between either Ad blocking, our using VPN with ad blocking features ( may have to go outside Apple Store).

If used as ad blocker, not sure what the monthly subscription is needed for !!

BTW, I have tried the two released versions and I beta tested the third release! No luck whatsoever on getting any traffic whatsoever with VPN
