About

Foldly is not a game to tap at. It is an app you use with a square of paper in your hand. A fold happens slowly on screen. You pause it, rewind it, slow it down, and make the same fold in real paper. Then you tap Next. There is no score, no timer and nothing to collect — just a child, a piece of paper, and something that did not exist ten minutes ago. WHAT IS IN IT Twenty-six projects, from a four-fold envelope to a lotus with three rings of petals. A paper cup you can actually drink from. A butterfly, a ladybug with seven spots, a sailboat, a fortune teller, a sailor hat. A dart and a glider, to race against each other. A penguin, a fish, a duck and a whale. A paper balloon you blow up into a box, a heart to give away, a boat that floats, a swan that stands up, a masu box to keep things in, and a samurai helmet you can wear. A corner bookmark that lives in a real book. Three of them are free forever. HOW IT WORKS • Every step is animated, not a photograph of a diagram • Slow it down, replay it, or step back whenever a fold goes wrong • Every instruction is read aloud, for children still learning to read • Finish a project, draw a face on it, and keep a photo of the real thing WHAT IT DOES NOT DO • No subscription. One payment, once, and it never renews • No adverts. Not between projects, not anywhere • No account and no sign-up. Profiles are just a name, an age and a picture, kept on this device • Nothing is collected about your child. The app has no networking code of its own and no third-party code in it, so there is nothing that could be sent anywhere. The only network use is Apple's own App Store, for the one purchase • No chat, no comments, no way for anyone to contact your child FOR GROWN-UPS Anything that spends money sits behind a step that asks for four digits written as words. A child who cannot yet read cannot get past it. Everything works with no internet. Every project and every spoken instruction is already on the device before you start. Made for hands, paper and a kitchen table. — Privacy policy: https://tuhin-014.github.io/app-policies/foldly/privacy-policy.html Terms of use (EULA): https://www.apple.com/legal/internet-services/itunes/dev/stdeula/

What's New in Foldly

1.2

October 23, 2026

Three new projects: a lotus with three rings of petals, a whale, and a ladybug with seven spots. Twenty-six in all. Reduce Motion is respected. With it on, each step shows the paper before the fold and after it, instead of the animation, and Play jumps to the finished fold. The player's buttons describe themselves to VoiceOver. Some instructions now say "press it flat" where they used to say "squash", and the swan and duck are drawn more precisely. The unlock page says it plainly: one purchase, no subscription, no adverts.
