Wow the ads are getting ridiculous. Plus, I paid for no ads originally. App is pretty useless now. I paid to have my number ported to Fongo and now I regret it. I used to be a big fan but not anymore.

With ads even paid
Paid monthly for messaging, but the app still shows long ads, which can’t be dismissed. It blocks conversations in the middle… I have to force close the app and reopen to continue the conversation.

Rubbish
I downloaded it from App store for the purpose of calling my UK bank from Canada. I bought international credit using my canadian credit card. I made the call and gave a heads up to my bank that any otp must be sent to my Canadian mobile number but in the middle of the call my bank mistakenly sent the otp to the number im using. And that’s it! After the call i got logged out and never got my account back along with my international credits too. I got banned for violating the terms, which i believe i did not violate any as i was calling my own bank in the UK. And this app doesn’t have any customer service hotline, absolutely nonsense. I have to send bunch of reports and still got the same response, i got banned and my account will never be reopened. That’s it! No explanation whatsoever. I have filed a complaint to my credit card so i can recover my money back in purchasing the international credit as i did not use most of it and they just banned me right away. And my bank acknowledged it, thankfully i got my money back.

There are so many ads that this app is literally trash now.
Taking away lifetime purchases and forcing subscription & buggy app
They force users into subscription models after previously offering lifetime purchases (e.g. removal of ads). Text book example of anti consumer behaviour. On top of that, their app interface has been stuck in the past and looks extremely outdated and clunky. I regularly miss calls because the app is buggy - no alerts of incoming calls, unable to pick up etc.
I’ve used them for many years because they were so affordable. With aggressive push of subscriptions for everything this is no longer the case. I do not recommend this app

Untrustworthy
My lifetime no ads subscription got cancelled or ended by them.
My son 6-month SMS subscription got ended in less than 3 months, we had to go through he'll to get them reinstated it.
