the best part of downloading my own music and not having to rely on streaming is that i can have whatever songs i please and putting them on shuffle is ridiculous. i love you foobar you just Work exactly like i want. you can adjust the volume in-app which is perf because my headphones are finicky (i miss my audio jack tails. i miss her a lot.) its perfect. i love foobar2000!!!! foobar campeo del mundoopo

This player is practically perfect in every respect, except, unless Im missing something embarrassingly obvious, there's no repeat 1 functionality?
Outdated and obsolete
This app lacks the shuffle feature anywhere but the Home Screen. Please dont get tricked into payed any money for this app or its windows app, its a full waste of money in 2026

Slow indexing/rescanning
Love the app but am facing one larger problem: I have a larger database of ~1k audio files (mostly 1-2h long) that I sync via iCloud.
After exceeding 500 files, the indexing started to become rather slow and rescanning sometimes missed new files or took very long as well.
Yesterday I’ve had to start a completely new index run to capture some rogue files/misread tags and since then it’s been only going at 2-5 files per hour (not sure if this was the last update). Would greatly appreciate if this could be fixed/sped up as I otherwise really like the app and use it daily (have to resort to other ones for now until I have the full library back for which the screen needs to stay on+app open, sadly).

Great app for music lovers
Backend is great overall, but some issues are disappointing:
- inconvenient streaming to local network streamers via settings menu
- app icon is good looking in App Store, but the size of the mascot after install is too big, looks strange
- default skin is something…)

The only music app that isn’t rotten subscription slop
I love this app! My only issue is that managing and using playlists are horrifying. You can add multiple songs to a playlist without warning, the ordering is all manual (you cannot sort a playlist by artist, album, etc)
This could be easily remedied by allowing us to import a playlist from desktop onto the app. Maybe I just haven’t figured it out and you can- but still.

There does not appear to be an option to backup/export or save a playlist, unlike the Desktop version. A feature like this is really important, yet it’s missing from the mobile app.
Song images/album covers often don’t load.
Rearranging song order in playlists is quite slow (and occasionally crashes the app…)

Good apps, wish natively support CarPlay.
Great but needs some more features
This is the best local file music player I could find, but it definitely could use some more features.
Firstly, it needs a queue. Being able to add songs to a queue would be SO nice.
Secondly, a loop-one-song feature. Self-explanatory; Spotify and Youtube music has it too.
Thirdly, extra sorting options. For example, albums, tracks, and artists could be sorted by most played or have a self-set organizable list instead of always being sorted alphabetically.
Also, being able to organize the front page would be really nice. Basically the only tabs I use are Artists, Albums, and Playlists, but Playlists are all the way at the bottom of the list, and its position is unadjustable. Being able to just jack it to the top of the list would be really nice.

Great music player🫠
I tried looking for apps to play my audio for free and this is the best one. Simple ui, easy to share, great playback quality.
“You will own nothing and be happy.” NOT WITH FOOBAR
This has single handedly changed how I organize and listen to my music. Taking back ownership in my music, and my listening experience has never been better. I officially feel like I have regained access to my iPod nano. Thank you foobar2000.
mobile 版播放器好用，但美中不足
pc版一直在用，功能很完美。mobile版没发布就一直在等了，特别喜欢mobile版的添加目录功能，可以浏览目录选择播放的歌曲，这个功能让管理变得很方便。但美中不足是，mobile版没有歌曲显示，单曲循环播放也不方便，不知开发团队有没有相应的开发计划呢
