Solid concert and comedy finder for Boston shows
Update: still the best Boston Comedy and event / show finder. And it’s free!!
I’ve been using Foobos for a few months now to keep up with what’s happening around the city, and it’s quietly become the most useful concert finder I’ve tried for Boston live music and Boston comedy. The map view is especially handy when I’m deciding whether to head into Cambridge or stay closer to home in Greater Boston, and the filters by neighborhood, genre, and price make it simple to zero in on free shows or smaller venues without scrolling forever. It’s also how I’ve stumbled onto a lot of solid local bands I never would have caught otherwise, plus the recommendations feel like they actually get the kinds of nights I like. If you live anywhere in the Boston area and want an easier way to find good shows, this one’s worth downloading.

Actually useful for finding things to do
Living around Boston, my wife and I are always looking for something different to do and this makes it way easier. I can just open this and see what’s going on around us. Already found a couple date night ideas we probably would’ve never come across otherwise. Really useful if you live in the Boston area

App of the year
UI is clean and intuitive, seriously fun to use. 10/10 utility, 10/10 UI and the head dev. Well the head dev is a certified HUNK!
If you love live music this app is a must! Spend less time researching and more time at shows!

Awesome Boston app for Events and Concerts
Been using foobos for a couple months and it’s easily the best way to find live music and comedy shows in Greater Boston. The map view is super useful when I’m deciding between Cambridge, Somerville, or staying closer in the city, and the filters by neighborhood, genre, price, and free shows make it quick to zero in on something good. I’ve discovered a ton of solid local bands and smaller venues I never would have caught otherwise. Recommendations actually feel tuned to what I like, and the daily updates keep everything current across hundreds of Boston-area venues. If you live anywhere in the Boston area and want an easier way to find concerts and comedy tonight or this weekend, this is the one.
