Missing my saved food items [Update]

[Edit] responding to developer: downloaded the update, but I still don’t see my previous foods & can’t add custom foods until I scan at least one w/ barcode scanner. I have to check later if it’s an OS specific issue because I do believe the android version is working perfectly from when I had a relative download it to cross check. Also creating custom recipes aren’t working: I get to go through my saved foods for ingredients but it doesn’t save into the recipe when I click add. Also to answer your question: yes I do want to be able to manually edit the macros in my saved food, so that I don’t have to recreate the item to overwrite it & fix any errors when comparing actual nutritional label to scanned food item (which it will happen because of distribution differences for different retailers/grocery shop & changes w/ ingredients: nutritional database or official source don’t often update or account for that ). I like the UI changes in the main hub & tabs tho! & since I figured out how to add foods again I’ll start using it again: changing to a 3 until all underlying issues are fixed.

So I’m on iOS 18.7.8, for reference. I’ve really enjoyed this app, but rn it has a major bug that’s preventing me from using it: the food tab no longer allows me to add any saved foods or recipes, and all my existing foods are gone. Other than that, I would recommend allowing users to modify their existing foods items macronutrients, since otherwise you have to re create the item from scratch, which is annoying. Will change my rating if issues are addressed.

App Feedback Doesn’t Work

Letting you know that the App Feedback email in the tool is invalid. My suggestion was: the barcode reader is really useful but there isn’t a way for users to flag or submit corrections when nutritional information is wrong or missing entirely.

Response from developer

Thanks for the feedback, yeah the feedback is my kryptonite currently, im working on that. But I hear you, I will make the barcode editable soon. Thanks!

Easy to Use

I like the app, but you have to sign up for a subscription before you can see how much it costs. I haven’t had the courage to sign up for the free trial for this reason.

Suddenly subscription

I was one of the early adopters and I was told it would be subscription for future users but so far I haven’t been able to restore purchases or do any advanced anything. I haven’t been using it a ton because of this. It’s a good app if you can afford another monthly, but I’d have much rather bought it outright or paid for new versions or something like that.

Response from developer

Hi, send me a DM on reddit, we will fix that ASAP, thanks for being an early adopter!
