This is an Essential App for me

I use this app for recipe hunting, ingredient checking, carb monitoring, grocery shopping and as a “hold-all” for recipes from other websites. All of my recipes are aggregated here.

I once walked into my favorite food store to do my weekly shopping, only to find their WiFi was down. When I asked the manager about it, I was subtly blown off and she even suggested I should use a paper grocery list. Everybody there knows me, and knows that I spend quite a bit once a week, so I was surprised at the Manager’s attitude. I smiled and said I was pretty sure the other big grocery store in town had working WiFi and left. Long story short, something happened because the next week when I came in, I was greeted by the same manager, who told me to find her anytime the WiFi was down and she would see to it personally. That’s how much I depend on my Food Network app.

Triple Screen Time

Love this app! So I’m happy to offer feedback.
Having trouble with the original option to view recipes on TV now. Often, on weekends it doesn’t allow you to refresh the screen when a new show comes on. You get stuck with gray vibrating graphics—for an hour or all day. So thanks for launching the new view recipes on TV now option. Less vibrating, gray graphic, but there’s still not gone completely. However, the new photo link is rather confusing. Links and clicks don’t take you exactly where you’re expecting to go. It can be hard to find the recipe that is actually on TV now and you can get caught in a circle out there in the show’s schedule section— and never find the actual recipe that has just been aired.

Other than that, this is a convenient all-in-one app! With all my saved recipes, organized on boards, it’s my go to every time I cook. The ratings/comments on each recipe are extremely helpful!! Great—and sometimes essential—insights that help each recipe turn out perfectly. Great move when you enabled us to save recipes from other websites! That’s what makes this app my recipe home base.

Watching Chef Tila’s first episode now. Need to turn the TV off and get going, but I’d put anything aside for Jet!

From enjoy to disappointed

I’ve been using the Food Network app for a long time and I was really excited and enjoyed it first. But there are some limitations to the design of the app as well as one of those designs stopped working for me, which has been very, very frustrating. First when you’re trying to meal plan it’s not like after you cook it it goes away. You manually have to go in and take it out of your menu and the dates don’t go in the right order so you have to scroll through everything you’ve cooked or delete it to get to the next day I don’t understand that.

And then at some point within the last months or a year if I put things on my menu planner, the app is screwing up and date or just take it off of that date. It won’t let me change the date. If I didn’t cook it that day it says please choose a future date when I used to just be able to. On, and it would go back into getting ready to be so I have no idea what caused that change It’s too much work and annoying and fun enjoyable. I love to cook, but due to this, I don’t search are use Food Network network recipe also if I go online or I’m trying to find that chef on the actual network TV show you find the recipe on the app I have to go to the web and look up the recipe and then copy and that is just way too much work! It’s supposed to make this easier not more complicated

Sorry, disappointed you to contact Food Network. I’ve tried that to fix the but nobody is around to help out with issues

Recipe ratings are moderated very well

Why are the reviews of recipes not moderated at a higher level? I have seen nasty comments about different chefs being allowed to be posted that have nothing to do with rating a recipe. Case in point moderators need to check out a rude comment left on the recipe” stuffed French onion soup burger”. Also I have seen many users posting that star ratings on a recipe should not be allowed without the accompaniment of a comment stating the reason for the rating. Please take consideration of these concerns as they will only increase the quality of what users expect on a fine app such as this one. Don’t let trash talk about chefs be allowed to be posted as a critique on the quality of a recipe. Please MODERATE comments like stated when a user goes to leave a rating. As of right now it appears someone is not doing a very good job at upholding the quality of of your site.

I love this app. I love finding new recipes and learning new things but I feel it’s very subjective. Don’t get me wrong, I love trying out chicken, pork, and beef recipes; sometimes lamb. I just feel with all the credible chefs, they should have a lot more creative recipes. They’re very pretentious. I feel they should branch out and start cooking things like venison. My husband actually goes out and hunts deer, gets it processed then I make dinner with the processed meat. I don’t see barely any recipes with that. I just feel it’s a little “been there, done that” with these recipes. Try branching off. These chefs need a challenge for gods sake. They make so much money, and they haven’t even been trying. Try branching off a little. Make it challenging. Just recreating recipes. I used to pay for this app and now I can see why they quit paying people to use it. No creativity. Just the same stuff.

Thanks for sharing your creative protein suggestions with us, Megan. We love a good challenge for our Food Network chefs, and your feedback to incorporate venison, as well as other unique meats like bison, elk, and more will be shared with our culinary team for future consideration. Happy Cooking!
