Why do they need this extra information

I just wanted an app that could randomize some food ideas for a night cooking with some friends, but instead it requires a lot of irrelevant information to be imputed. Why do we need to have a picture (yes it is required and you can not skip it).

List of requirements
Featured ingredient- good
Location- shouldn’t everyone involved already know that
Picture/ first/last name- why
Max of 5 people and only two people cook

I think what everyone was expecting was to be given a random ingredient or list of ingredients where they could cook individually or in teams with maybe an option of a timer and a scoring system where there is an option for designated judges or everyone votes.

Honestly though this app would only be a convenience, you could easily find a ingredient randomizer online, every phone has a stopwatch feature, and could create a score card.

Not what was advertised.

This was not the app I was looking for and it was explained to be different than what it really is.

So much fun!

I had a few friends over and we played FoodFu to see who could make the best burger. The app was great because it led us through the entire game, from making sure we had our kitchen setup, letting us know how much time was left in the game and taking care of judging. Let me tell you, time moves faster when you are cooking under pressure! And you get asked questions while you are cooking! My friend dropped one of his burgers on the floor when a question was asked because he was trying to do a bunch of things at once. It was hysterical! He was lucky he made extra burgers!!!!

We’ll definitely be playing again! It felt like we were cooking on tv but without the cameras or celebrity judges! FoodFu is seriously fun! Oh, and if you are wondering, I won the battle with my caramelized onion, apple and cheddar burger.

Not your average dinner party!

Foodfu is a fun and interactive way to bring your foodie friends together! The interface is simple and bright and guides you through the competition. The interactive questions keep the energy flowing. I love how it generates a photo with the winners, the dishes and judges that you can post to social media. It takes no more work than planning a regular dinner party and is way more fun! Highly recommend for a group of old friends and new who either love cooking or love to eat!!

Unique social experiential app

Don't be fooled, you don't have to be a chef to have fun using this app. FoodFu helps to setup and proctor a cooking battle. It's a mashup of some of my favorite cooking shows like Chopped, Iron Chef of America, and Top Chef.

FoodFu is one of those apps that you come across and think "Wow I haven't used anything like it!" With that in mind the help info throughout the app helps to understand how to use it the first few times around.

*Disclaimer: I was an unpaid beta tester.
