Food Print Nutrition Tracker

When I first downloaded this app, I was super excited. It was everything I needed and wanted in a nutrition tracking app. My problem now is it’s so difficult to get it to open up and even work. Maybe there’s some kind of bug that could be fixed because it has the potential to be a great nutrition tracking aid for people with, the desire to do so. But with the fact that it won’t even open up it sure makes it hard to track your food on an app that fuss about being used.

Not for me

Very US centric. Doesn’t have a lot of built in common items like adding a sugar to your coffee. So it’s going to be a lot of time and manual setup for people outside the US and who make their own meals. You also can’t hide calories as a tracking option, which means anyone with a history of eating disorders that may only want to track macro or nutrient items and skip weight loss triggers is out of luck

Up there with the best

It has a simple and clear UI that enables me to use the app efficiently. It is a great to see the activity summary and nutrient intake displayed below the meals you have that day.

I am wondering if BMR and burnt calories will be included in future updates. It would be a good additional feature.

Needs a lot of work

I love this app it really helps me understand what I’m eating. I wish it had more features though. I hate subscription services but I would gladly give up some money to support the development of this app.

Not syncing with Apple health

Great app. However, the apple health is not showing any data from this app. In Sharing-Apps and services-Foodprint, Data from Foodprint is empty.I have made sure permissions are correct in Settings-Connected apps.

Ok at first glance

So at first glance this app seems quite inclusive. But there’s no way to enter and save custom recipes. Meaning you’d have to calculate servings of each ingredient each time you enter it., or search back for a previous entry and copy it. 3 stars given for this.

Pros: it gives you a complete, and I do mean complete list of everything in your food. More so than any other app I’ve tried. Breaking down fat into saturated, polyunsaturated, and monounsaturated, which is great! One extra star awarded for this.

“Activity”

I love this app and how it tells me exactly what minerals and vitamins and such im putting in my body. BUT its activity thing is horrible! Every time i try to log my workout or walks or whatever- it doesn't work when i search it up.. it doesn't even say non available or this activity isn't in our database its just blank!! I have soccer 3 times a week and i want to track that within the app but its just not working!!!

Back buttons

The back buttons don’t work and I find myself having to restart the app multiple times. Especially when I’m looking at the nutritional facts from what I have eaten during the day. I will gladly put my review at 5 when this gets fixed. I do like the variety of foods that you guys have listed since I eat a majority of sugarfree and fat-free foods. So it’s nice to see the brands I use already to go here.

good but can’t integrate with Libre

I read that this app integrates with the Freestyle Libre cgm app but I can’t figure out how to pull my blood glucose readings into this app. Any info on that?

might be nice if it worksed

cant log in. I put all my personal information i to the app and it just stalls at log in…
now I’d like to know how to remove my information …

Review

This is a decent app. It tracks food well but I only gave it 3 stars. For a couple reasons that it only got 3 stars is because I have to add A LOT of items myself. The barcode is very convenient but their are many items that aren’t even in the database. The other problem I have is that when trying to click certain things on screen like the back button or edit I have to sit there tapping over n over again until it actually reacts.

Can’t log activity

Update: I just went on my app, and suddenly my activities I’ve input to other apps have linked to it. This wasn’t the case before- but I’m happy now!

This has been so handy keeping track of what I’m eating and helping me make more mindful choices in regards to what I’m eating. I love how it can break down the nutrition of individual food items and meals, so I can actually understand my own habits. However, whenever I add an event, like “exercise”, even simple terms like “running” do not come up, much less what my exercises are actually called. Because of that, I can’t log any of my activity. Luckily I have it in other places, but I was hoping to have that information with my food to see how my overall performance with nutrition and activity is going. That being said, I still enjoy the app for what it is. It is just disappointing that one of the key functions doesn’t work.

Garbage’s

Stupid stupid stupid it won’t let me put my birthday in

Significantly better than the competition

Easily the best nutrition app I’ve tried. Simple to use, has a decent interface, and most importantly no ads!
Few issues and recommendations:
1. The back button tucks behind the time on 14 Pro Max. Please fix:)
2. Add support for widgets!
3. Add support for Apple watch!
4. I’d be willing to pay a small fee (not subscription) for the extra support!

10/10 would recommend

Useless

Installed the app my first entry was StarBucks grande latte. The app could not find it. It suggested I should add all the food values myself.

Freezes

With latest update, app regularly freezes on startup. Need to reboot phone to get it stated again.

Doesn’t Work Anymore

I used the app for 3 weeks, then suddenly I open the app to a white screen and it is clocking. I thought it would come back, so after two days I deleted and reloaded it. Now it doesn’t recognize my login-I’d and password. I tried resetting my password. It says it has sent an email with a temp password. The email never showed up in my inbox, and yes I checked junk mail too. My advice, don’t waste your time putting all of your information in an app that is not stable or won’t be around for long.

I’m addicted to this app

It gives me the correct amount of nutrients that a eat and how o need Moore. Just what I needed!

Extremely limited

The only foods displaying vitamins, minerals etc, are the ones already in their system. If you wanted to add your bcaas (for example) to see what your overall l-leucine levels are, you wouldn’t be able to. In fact, when inputting new food items, you’re only able to log in calories, fat, protein, and carbs. Forget about fiber, sugar, sat/poly/mono fats, cholesterol, sodium, potassium….
The app is extremely limited which kind of defeats its purpose as an app. There are way better food tracker apps out there, like My Macros. These developers should either get the full vitamins/minerals nutrients going, or move on from this app altogether.

Great for tracking

Suggestion: add more items to the “frequent items” list. My app only lists 7 items. Seems limiting 🙃

Opted for the premium version and so far totally worth it. An enhancement might be to add decimals to the weight tracking. Even small incremental weight loss is encouraging. 😉
