Simple, Free, and Exactly What I Needed
I use FoodShiner for a very basic purpose: keeping track of what I have in my freezers and pantries. I know it does more, but for my needs it does the job perfectly. It’s simple, fast, and completely free!

Sorry to have to ask you this way, but can't find any other way to contact you. I am not on social media and the links you provide in the store don't work. How do you delete a product on the products list?
It would be nice if you had an email link in the app for support. i don't see any. I tried to swipe the entry and long press it, but nothing works.

Barcodes not found
Totally useless
Barcode scanner not working
I used this app a few months ago and it worked well but I let it lapse. I’ve reloaded the newest version but the barcode scanner and the manual search doesn’t seem to work at all. I’ve looked online for potential reasons, followed them all, checked it has camera permission etc but still not working. So it can only have 1 star as it is of no use (to me anyhow)

Update: I am finding this app useful. It coild use a few tweaks, but on the whole pretty darn good.
It’s a pretty common occurrence to have some one ask me if we have any x. If I’m diligent I have everything put in & can tell them yes/no & how much. I can also check the list of things about to expire & make sure to use them in my meal plan. This is especially useful w freezer stuff. Our chest freezer buries things. I can use this app to keep track of the underneath. Last time I went through the kitchen I threw away so much expired food. I am hoping using & maintaining this app will help me avoid that kind of waste.

Ich finde die Idee echt super! So kann ich mein Kaufverhalten besser an die Preise anpassen und kaufen, wenn der Artikel günstiger ist. Dann kann ich gleich auf Vorrat kaufen und warten, bis der Preis wieder fällt. Man hat immer den Lagerbestand im Blick und weiß beim Vergleichen mit den Angeboten, ob man nochmal auffüllen muss oder nicht.

Apres avoir testé plusieurs app. de ce style, c’est la plus complète que j’ai pu essayer. Flasher simplement le code-barre (énormément de produits trouvés avec photo) et hop c’est quasi fini. Et si vous ne trouver le produit, il se crée en 10 secondes. A recommander, et EN PLUS, elle est GRATUITE. (À soutenir)

The best app!
I went through a few different apps that had so many restrictions - before discovering this one! It’s honestly the best. It’s so intuitive to use and very customisable. It has helped us manage food waste and even has a section where we can easily access the recipes we have on repeat! I wish I could give this app more stars.

C’est vraiment top comme appli voilà 2 ans que je l’utilise maintenant c’est super ! J’aurais juste une suggestion, peut être que l’option existe mais je n’est pas trouver, il serais sympa de pouvoir partager « le frigo » avec les autres membres de la maison pour que chacun puisse supprimer les l’aliment qu’il consomme par exemple . Aujourd’hui tous le monde vient me dire ce qu’il consomme mais je ne trouve pas ça très pratique

J’ai perdu presque tout mon contenu lors de la dernière mise à jour… des listes d’achats et des emplacements. En plus on ne trouve plus comment partager les listes avec d’autres personnes. Très mauvaise mise à jour…

Sehr gute App, wenn man sich reingefunden hat. Schnelles und einfaches Hinzufügen, noch schnelleres Entfernen (oder auch öffnen) von Produkten. Hier und da ein paar Schönheitsfehler und kleine fehlende Einheitlichkeit, aber nichts, dass einen Aufhalten würde. Großer Pluspunkt für Accountlosigkeit und gelungene iCloud Integration. Features wie Einkauflisten und Rezeptbücher sind optional und liegen nicht zwingend im Fokus. Ich würde mir noch mehr Erklärungen wünschen, damit man nicht erst ausprobieren muss um alles herauszufinden (Einstellungspunkt „Standardprodukte herunterladen“ - Jetzt habe ich ca. 500 Produkte zur Auswahl, die ich nicht gesammelt entfernen kann). Würde ich trotzdem weiterempfehlen!

Stock App With Every Feature Free
As of today, 1/24/2026, this app has every feature I was looking for in a food tracking app. It allows you to track nutrition info, quantities per package in every type of measurement, expiration dates and store dates. You can scan item’s barcodes and have many storage locations. There is no paywall and no limits, they just have an option to tip them (which you should do, because every other app has fewer features + paywalls). Really pleased with the UI of this app as well, it’s very modern and easy to use. I don’t leave reviews typically but I was losing hope in finding an app with all the features I wanted for free, and then I found this one!

J’ai essayé la plupart des applis de ce type qui permettent d’établir un inventaire, et elles sont plutôt similaires. Cependant celle-ci est particulièrement bien puisqu’elle est très personnalisable. La prise en main a été un peu compliquée mais rien de méchant une fois qu’on a lu le mode d’emploi et qu’on teste un peu les différentes options.
L’application est en plus totalement gratuite (au jour où j’écris mon avis du moins), donc je ne vois pas quoi demander de plus, merci aux développeurs. :)

È da mesi che cercavo un applicazione simile. Se ne trovano diverse nello store ma questa le batte tutte. Le possibilità di personalizzazione sono infinite e la grafica è semplice ed intuitiva. Grazie per l’ottimo lavoro.
Weak at finding and retrieving
Some things about the app are quite good, but day to day use in finding stored items is not intuitive. It allows you to log items into it pretty easily and then add items to specific locations, ie kitchen freezer, basement freezer, etc. But retrieving them later isn’t obvious or simple. For example, if you want to find the 3 pound package of ground beef you bought 3 months ago, you actually have to remember the location you placed an item (ie basement freezer) and then search within that location in order for the app to tell you the specific place where the package can be found (ie shelf three). This is an important limitation. You can store items by location, but it doesn’t not have a basic “find item” or “view location” on the home page to make this an easy process.
