I don’t know why so much hate

I don’t understand why there’s so much hate for this app, it’s simple, provides enough information for my brain to digest for the wilderness and lets me know what I can eat. Perfect for me at-least.

Great Foraging App

Ideal as a quick reference when out and about, photos are clear, descriptions or how to prepare or leave alone. I particularly like the Red Banner which contains the words of caution.

Rip off!!!

It couldn’t even identify bitter melon! The app also wants to charge you for extra “packs” of 10 plant id’s, each pack is an additional $.99 each!!! I should have listened to the original reviewer who said it was thin. Don’t waste your money. This app is very unintuitive and inflexible. Uninstalled immediately.

Thanks for telling me it does not identify a plant that does not even grow properly in the country I am from and that I do not consider a wild food. I am trying to provide an App that identifies plants that are generally considered weeds and not usually cultivated. Bitter lemon is cultivated and so in my humble opinion does not belong in my App.

Garbage. Gives about 40 plants and if you want more it’s extra cost. Wish I had never bothered and deleting it from my phone.

Sorry to hear you do not like the App and think 40 plants is not enough. I need to charge for additional plants or else I cannot afford to update the App. It takes considerable time and effort to collate the information for each plant.

I don't believe the information provided is thin. I have included enough information to identify plants when you are out and about. I could have included reams of information that would have just confused the identification of the plants.

Youtube is good if you know what the plant already is but this app aims to identify plants you don't know.

Possibly the worst app I have.

Looking for an app to go foraging with and thought this would do the trick, how wrong was I? It needs a serious rebuild to let users see what foods are available near them as opposed to locating a particular food from a long list.

DON'T BUY!!

I can't believe I paid money for this. It's so bad I'm not even going to go through everything but it's so inaccurate or simply doesn't find your answer... Then asks if you want to purchase info on what it could be. AVOID COMPLETELY!!

What jokes

This app is terrible there's hardly any plants and they try and milk you for more money buy adding 10 more plants. If u pay! Wish I had not wasted my money on something with so little material AVOID!

Not much in this app

I don't know if I had lofty expectations for $1.99, but for a paid app, I think I would get a little more content.

Pros-
The app is simple and the pictures are nice and would be helpful in identifying plants when out and about.

Cons-
The map feature appears to be useless. There was absolutely no content on it. I could not add my own markers on the map or anything. Also, a picture browser was missing. Maybe I don't know the name of a plant in my yard, but want to check if it is edible? I have to read every plants description individually. Lame.

I would suggest the developers allow users to plot found edibles on the map, and also contribute to the content ala Wikipedia . This could be a cool app, but it let me down a little.
