Ads made this app insufferable
Used to LOVE this app as it was super reliable, but now that I can’t skip these ads they force you to sit through if you don’t want to pay $12 a year for ad free weather info, it’s horrible. I’ll stick to going straight to NWS for my information. Weather information should NOT be monetized, you all pay taxes that go towards incentivizing this information… why pay more?! Paying for this information to avoid sitting through ads is just revolting to me as a meteorologist.

Forecast in 5 minutes
Used to be a good app. Now they added advertisements that are broken. So I have to restart the app, watch another ad, and hope it works.
No longer forecast now, it is forecast in five minutes, maybe.

I have used a lot of weather apps and Forecast Now is my favorite
Hard to read forecasts.
The letters on the forecast are way too small.
Ads
Was a good simple app but recently was changed with more intrusive ads. You often can’t just open it to see the forecast. Now you get blasted with a loud ad with no way to short circuit. It’s a shame because I really like the app.
It’s changed!
All text detailing the forecast is gone. Now just postage stamp sized graphics that won’t expand. Pretty much useless now.

Difficult to use, not knowing day of week (eg Sun, Mon, etc)

We have restored the dates to the hourly forecast, as they were originally. The daily forecast shows the day of the week, by popular request, instead of “today “ and “tonight “, but has never shown the date. NOAA is using a new satellite for GOES East which has a different set of instruments onboard, and they don’t publish an exact equivalent to the rainbow display the old satellite provided. We chose a default display that we think shows the best contrast for precipitation, but if you subscribe to the app you can choose from a variety of displays another one may suit you better. You could always try subscribing for a month to see if it gets you what you want. If not, you can then cancel the subscription in the settings app on your device.

Since the update this app does not work properly and take forever to load the forecasts
Support not supporting
Local radar feature has been down for days and support nearly impossible to reach. Just has general FAQ saying NWS radar info may be unavailable from time to time. For nearly a week???

We always reply to messages sent to our support email address, usually within 24 hours. We can’t fix an NWS radar station however.

Forecast Now suits me to a T. Others clutter the screen with so much information it’s hard for me to focus on it. This app opens with a menu listing each type of NWS information. Selecting an item displays it on its own cleanly-designed screen, making it much easier for my brain to grasp. While changing locations requires going to a separate menu item, with frequent use I can now rapidly swipe/click among the 4 locations I generally follow.
I did often find the ads annoying but, as the app’s description spells out, they’re the trade-off for using a free app. Most ads can simply be canceled, though some have a 5-second countdown. The audio ads are easily muted with a tap on the volume icon. I recently decided to try it without ads for $0.99 per month. I like it, so will be signing up for the single $9.99 payment to ditch them permanently.
I’ve encountered a couple of glitches in the app along the way, which I’ve reported to the developers. Both times they’ve responded within an hour, investigated immediately, and gotten them fixed – that same day in one case and within 24 hours in the other. In my book, that kind of support is well worth a few bucks.

Forecast Now
The radar is good, but that’s all that I can get down loaded! Only get thumbnail picture. No words will appear on my iPad screen. Can’t access more than one location. I’ve been trying to get the complete down load. I was interested in the subscription, but no success with that either. Very disappointing.

Good info / needs work.
Great information direct from the best source there is. The only thing that needs work is the app itself. It’s a good start, but it needs refining. How about a quick list view of your cities accompanied by current conditions?
Basically, switching between any of the options/information tabs is cumbersome. A few UI tweaks and this could be something decent.
Finally, I don’t mind paying a subscription for a great app. However, this isn’t quite *great* yet. Keep up the work! Thanks.

Good functionality except for ads which can be intrusive. Could be improved with dew points and heat index values in hourly forecasts.
