The best Customer service

Anytime with a new product set an app is so much difficult but once you get to figure it out, it’s amazing and with the help of the foresight Tech group and customer service. They made it so easy for me to set up a launch monitor. I would highly recommend using this company for Golf technology they are the best.

iPad

Will not let me download FSX PRO on my iPad. Says not allowed in this region. United Kingdom

Ball finding dialog annoying

App is better and great for quick practice but annoying to block until another ball in place before I can review previous shot.

Good but good be great

Great app overall and the data quality from the Launch Pro is outstanding, but there are two features that would significantly improve the user experience.

1. Please add ball normalization to the Bag Mapping/MyBag feature. Many of us perform bag mapping sessions at outdoor ranges using limited-flight or standard range balls. Since Shot Analysis already supports normalization, it would be extremely helpful to allow users to select a “From Ball” and “To Ball” during Bag Mapping so distances can be normalized to the player’s gamer ball.
2. Please allow users to save default ball normalization settings. Currently, in Shot Analysis, the app requires the user to reselect the “From Ball” and “To Ball” every session. It would be much more convenient to save a default preference (for example, Range Ball → Chrome Tour X) that automatically applies to future sessions.

These two enhancements would make outdoor practice and bag gapping substantially more accurate and convenient for Launch Pro users.

Response from developer

Thank you for the detailed review, and we're glad the Launch Pro is working well for you. These are great requests and both of these are already on our roadmap. We're looking forward to bringing them to a future update. Thanks for taking the time to explain how you practice and map your bag outdoors. Feedback like this helps us prioritize what to build next.

Love it

I am by no means a pro. But can still manage to use the data and video to help me make positive change. Thank you!

A Much Better App

Foresight’s hardware has always been some of the very best, but their software has been some of the most disappointing.

This app finally gets Foresight close to the competition that has leapfrogged them a while ago. The graphics are better, the drills are useful but they could improve still.

The range is better but can use some more customization options for data display.

Overall a good update!

Be careful

I’m an old athlete, spent too much time doing sports and not paying attention to technology advancing around me. I have a BLP and used to connect in the backyard to an iPad and hit into a net using FSX PRO. I had occasional connection issues but usually once I was up and running I was good. I was told by technical support to download the new foresight app, now I’m having major connectivity issues. Sometimes I’m on and 3 swings, disconnected, sometimes 8 swings. I once had a good run going, went to switch clubs and disconnected me again. Since I have no room inside and I live in a state that golf is seasonal, I have to use it a bit to get my money’s worth and definitely am not.

Apps fantastic!!

Mobile Options: Not Impressed

Routinely disconnects and feels like like 2010s tech or a printer when it comes to updates, reliability and breadth of info being displayed. FSX Apps on an iPhone aren’t usable because of the notching on the device, iPad being the same experience. Then there’s how many apps that do how many things? What’s the distinct purpose for each? Connection options are also limited… in the day and age we are in, the UI side needs to be better for the expense of the platform

Thank you for the feedback. The experience you're describing doesn't match our current app, which features a fully redesigned UI and doesn't have the notch issues you've mentioned. So it's possible you may be on a much older version or legacy software. New version 2.14 is much better

The recent updates have really improved this app - particularly the addition of the range view. I definitely favour this over the FSX Pro app, and if I just want to do a quick practice session, I will use this over booting up my PC to launch FSX 2020.

Is there any way you could also add in Total distance in for info? (Just based on standard settings)

Frustrating bugs

The functionality can be really good when it works. It drops out quite a lot having to reconnect to the launch monitor. Also I have an iPhone SE device and it doesn’t render at all and clearly never been tested as once connected to the monitor there is no way to get to the submit button so is very frustrating as I don’t want to have to take my iPad to the range.

They really did it.

This app went from basically unusable to indispensable. I love the drills and quick range. Keep cooking guys!

Shot analysis

Not easy to delete a bad shot when gathering data for a club. I was told I could swipe and delete the particular data while in session, but that option is not available.

Make Perfect Practice Fun

…Foresights new Training Facility App takes practicing to a whole new level with Tour accurate instant numbers. Dial in your short game, practice pin placements for tournaments, see club paths, disbursements, and launch data all on your phone. From everyday hackers, junior golfers, elite golfers, college golfers and pro golfers practicing just got FUN again.

Issues with connectivity

I have never been able to connect the Foresight app to my IPad. Connects easily on my phone but for some reason the iPad doesn’t connect…….despite my repeated efforts with Foresight technical support….nothing they have had me do has worked.

Great App - needs more

Just got an lpi and the app is fantastic.

-Love the training modes.
-Good range, needs more metrics.
-Connectivity and UI are great.

One major suggestion: please let the user disable the hitting zone popup. The launch pro already has a status indicator and I don’t need it to show on the app too. Because my sim screen is tensioned in a way that wedge shots often return exactly to the hitting area, I don’t get to see where my ball finishes on the range and in training modes. The ball rolls back into the hitting area and the popup blocks the screen.

Keep up the great work!

Response from developer

Thanks so much, glad you're enjoying it! Good news on the hitting zone popup, you can actually turn that off already. Head to session settings in the bottom right of shot analysis and toggle off Ball Find Assist. Should solve the issue with your sim setup. More features are on the way so stay tuned, and thanks for the kind words!

Much improved, would love more challenges

The new app fixes many connection and usability issues from FSXPro. The addition of the range view is a huge plus. I do Split View with tiles and range - this works, but I wish there were a full screen range view where I could customize which tiles show.

I enjoy the challenges, and think this is an area where Foresight could keep investing to build an excellent software offering that matches their hardware.

Thanks for the feedback! A driving range–style visualization is already on our planned roadmap and is actively being worked on. We know this is an important feature for reviewing and understanding shot data, and it’s coming in an upcoming release. We appreciate you taking the time to share what’s missing — feedback like this directly helps shape our priorities.

Useless

None of your apps work

Still not good

Way better than the FS Pro app…which was possibly the worst app I’ve ever used, but it’s still bad for such a large company. My launch monitor connects without issue but then the range just doesn’t work aka the shots I hit don’t show up.
