Simpler Navigation Now when you open ForeSource, you will see your organization’s schedule. You will also see a sidebar to navigate to other sections of the application. You can collapse this sidebar to see only the icons, or close it completely. New ways to plan your work Projects - The ‘Projects’ section is still your area to plan your projects before you add them to the schedule. Templates - The new ‘Templates’ section makes project building even easier. Templates can be created for workflows that will be re-used. They can represent an individual workflow or be the blueprint for commonly created projects. You can add templates to an existing project or schedule, or you can start a new project based on a template Sandbox – The new ‘Sandbox’ section houses copies of your schedule so you can experiment with what-if scenarios without affecting your published schedule. You can promote items from your sandbox to replace the current schedule. See more in the Bottom Drawer The bottom drawer has all new functionality and purpose. You now have access to a row of icons along the bottom of the Gantt chart. When there is content in the bottom drawer, these icons will be active. When you tap or click the icon, the bottom drawer will expand to show you more information. Task information – View information for the selected tasks as well as the tasks that are connected through dependencies. You can quickly access the task form for these tasks. Incoming Dependencies – View the dependencies of the selected task. Outgoing Dependencies – View the dependencies that refer to the selected task. Conflicts – If a schedule conflict has been identified, you will see the dependency that generated the conflict. Shortcuts & Settings – Quick aids to navigate between families and controls for view settings. Unsaved changes – See changes you have made along with any resulting changes made by ForeSource prior to saving or submitting
