hate the new ui
too many prompts, it’s distracting and repetitive. looking for alternatives
Glitching app made me lose all my trees and progress .
Used to love this app, it’s very useful for when I’m reading or need to be off my phone. Last night I set a stop watch timer while I read . I didn’t look at my phone after reading and went to sleep. When I woke up, the app was not recording my focus anymore. Now it’s glitching and I had to delete the app . Now it’s asking me to log back in and I’ve lost all my progress. So over this app.

The new update is the most horrible, greedy, unscrupulous, and useless thing to ever happen in Forest app history. It takes many more clicks to plant my trees and I cannot click to plant the tree matched to my label in one click like I used to be able to when I could select favorites.

Scammy new update
The new update erased all
my progress by making me create a new account, and now requires you to pay for premium just to unlock trees you used to get for actually using the app. Sad to see it go this direction

I am not able to edit/deleting the tags? and since the app updated its a bit slow
Horrible new UI
good: easier tag selection; visible names of the trees
bad: literally everything else. no spinning timer selector, now there's an ugly and inconvenient extra screen for timer and no visibility of the tree stages. multiple completion useless pop ups. was helpful for focusing but now don't even want to open the app because it is distracting and frustrating.

Disappointed after App Update. Fav feature disappearing
Lost several features like deep focus, planting trees together, etc. I can’t find a better way to reach out to customer support.

I have loved this app for years and years. The new update has totally lost the plot on the simplicity that made the original so delightful.
The false focus on rewards and coins has sold out the magic.

Your product manager and UI designer failed to understand the purpose of this app and its users. Who came up with and approved this UI change?
New UI is a joke
Who thought this new UI was good? Everything is worse, it literally takes way more taps to do basic than before. Like that’s bad UI 101 I don’t even wanna use the app anymore after years and I can see from the recent reviews others say the same. Make it a toggle to go back to the old one at least. Fire whatever consultant tricked you guys into this design it’s awful

One of my favorite apps and one of the apps that I use most on my phone
Ruined a good app
The new update sucks. Why would you remove being able to see the study hours at the top and make it so you have to click multiple times after a study session. Also having to slide the timer to set a time?? So dumb it looks horrible now. The old interface was so much better with how it was. Imagine people who built routines around this app and you’ve ruined it for them and then removed the button that allows you to switch back so people are forced to endure your update. You guys suck.

Ugly UI / UX update
Guys please revert back to old sleek UI/UX! So many clicks to get a simple thing done. Plants used to be so beautiful you guys made it look ugly!
Impossible to use now
The app has become unusable, for the last month or two crashing every time we try to do a group focus. And sometimes a solo session. The update has also added steps to start the timer which is unnecessary. We’ll be looking for an alternative.
Bring the time ring back!
The current interface for changing time is a disaster. I cannot preview the tree, and need multiple steps to change the time. Bring the time setting ring back!
Stop killing my trees!!!
I’m completing my focus sessions, and you’re still randomly killing my trees. 10 in a week! Yet I get credit for having planted in the focus challenge sections, but not the coins I earned.

Good app, some mistakes.
I personally love forest app, it actually helps me to focus and study lot more, I have been using it since 2025 and still awesome, one thing thought, I don’t know why but I don’t get any coins when the tree has grew, so I think it’s a glitch or something went wrong , but overall 5 stars :)
