Good app but too many glitches
I love the concept of the app and have been using it for years, but there are just too many glitches, including times when my plus subscription was disabled, or cannot sync, or cannot open daily challenges. It’s just frustrating. The in-app support function was also unable to load when I have these issues, so there’s literally no help I can get. Already reconsidering if I should renew my subscription.

The cutest study app ever 🌱
I genuinely adore this app. I’ve tried plenty of study timers, but Forest is the first one that actually makes me want to sit down and study. There’s something ridiculously satisfying about watching your plants grow and being able to look back at everything you’ve accomplished.
The fact that the app also contributes to planting real trees makes it even more meaningful. I especially love how much personality and creativity the community has brought to the app by making patterns with their trees.
Can’t ever be productive without this app now 💚

It’s a really awesome app, but it does annoy me how many pop up ads there are, but overall, great app. Would recommend

Cannot restore subscription under different email
I have the same Apple account and got a yearly subscription. I decided I wanted to start fresh and deleted my original account. Typically when I do this I can use a new email and click “restore purchase” and my subscription will be back. Instead, the support team
Has told me my only options are to A) request a refund from Apple or B) wait until March 2027 to resubscribe. That is not okay in the slightest. I’ve loved using this app for years and now wanting a clean slate means I cannot use the subscription I paid for a year for.

now completely ruined by greed. the plus subscription is absolutely ridiculous coming from someone who already had to pay for the app.
Lost 5 Years of Progress!
I bought this app in 2021 and used it devotedly since. Recently, it’s gotten more & more greed centric. Recently, it’s logged me out without my permission. It won’t let me sign in! I had earned so many trees, participated in limited social events, & now it’s all GONE! I have been robbed and I’m avail gutted.

Constantly begging for money, pausing is now a subscription feature?
This is a great app for tracking my study and very encouraging. But the way the developers are constantly begging for more money after I’ve already paid leaves a sour taste in my mouth. It’s pretty desperate and unprincipled. Just let me use the app I’ve paid for and stop harassing me with ‘deals’ for your pointless tokens.

Nice UI, but I miss the previous way to change focus time
Now it becomes less convenient to change focus time compared to before - we had to first click the current displayed focus time, then slide the time left or right to change it. But before we just directly point to different positions of the circle. Hope we can go back to the previous feature.

Would be five stars if a lifetime Plus option was offered. I already paid for the app when it first came out and now I have to get a subscription to get access to new features like time block (blocks apps). Would pay for a lifetime lumpsum option even if it’s more expensive off the bat. Sick of subscriptions.

From buyout to subscription
I have been using this app for a long time, and now I have to subscribe VIP even to suspend the timing. Are you serious?
Previously great app, but new update is AWFUL
I’m a daily user and the new update killed the entire flow I loved about Forest. It’s still a decent pomodoro timer but two of my main complaints:
1. there’s a straight up bug when you click on a “your tree just finished growing” notification. Half of the time, it just shows me my tree with the timer at 00:00, and a cancel button that does nothing. I have to quit the app fully and return for it to let me claim my focus time + rewards. This also loses any “count exceeded time” you’d accumulated. This is still unfixed like a week after the new update and it makes me want to just use a different app entirely.
2. You have to click through way too many prompts now. I miss the simple “your tree grew” notification. Now it’s “your tree finished” -> claim rewards -> return home, each with their own slow animation. This is a POMODORO TIMER, you’re not a video game loading an open world where you need loading screens and door opening animations for Christ’s sake, let me get on with my work.
I hope you improve the app, I’ll be exploring alternatives in the meantime.

Terrible after the update
It used to be such a good app, but since the latest update, it’s become terrible. The UI, bugs, UX, features like favorites, etc. You truly couldn’t ruin such a nice app this way.
What happened to this great app?
Until three months ago, I’d have rated highly this app. Less is left from that moment. Now, it logs out with no reason every once in a while and oftentimes it does not count the trees I plant for the challenges.
