Where Augusta plays. Established in 1926, Augusta University’s Forest Hills is a much loved staple within the Augusta, Georgia golf community. This 18-hole course holds remarkable history from Bobby Jones beginning. The course was originally designed by world renowned course architect Donald Ross, it was renovated by the Arnold Palmer Company in 2003. Forest Hills is home to the Men’s and Women’s Jaguar Golf Teams and became a part of history again when the Men’s Team successfully defended their 2010 NCAA Division I National Title to earn their second consecutive National Championship in 2011. On top of affordable rates, this accessible course features a driving range and practice facility, a bar and grill, and banquet facility. Annual memberships are also available. Course Information Forest Hills is a classic Donald Ross design that has delighted golfers since 1926. It has won numerous accolades over the years, including being consistently voted “Best Public Golf Course” by Augusta Magazine, and is the place to play while in Augusta for The Masters Championship. Home to the Augusta University’s Jaguar golf team, 2010 and 2011 NCAA Men’s National Champions, Forest Hills is located just a few miles from Augusta National Golf Club. The wide open fairways of this 7140 yard, par 72 course are forgiving, so as to offer a second chance and ensure a good score.
