Basket update is faulty

I am completely unable to remove sold out items from the basket. It just says failed to remove. I therefore cannot proceed to check out and had to revert to the desktop website to conclude the order. I have to actually delete the app and start again to clear the basket. This is ridiculous.
Otherwise it works fine.
