What's New in forkIt (Restaurant Finder)

1.0.37

October 6, 2026

Road trips just got easier. • On the way: Pick where you're headed and forkIt finds restaurants along your drive, timed to when you'll pass them. Choose "next 30 min", "1–1.5 h" and more, and we'll only show places that will be open when you get there. • Road trip groups: Everyone in the car can swipe together on restaurants along the route. Whoever's driving taps "I'm driving" and sits out the vote. When the group agrees, the driver gets a notification that opens directions straight to the restaurant, so no one has to touch the driver's phone. • Know before you go: Restaurants now show "Closes soon" or "Opens soon", so you can time your visit. "Open now" also includes places opening within the hour. Fixes and improvements • Opening hours are more accurate, and 24-hour places now show as open around the clock. • Searching for a cuisine like "Italian" now shows only nearby Italian restaurants. • A smoother start: the app opens straight to your first restaurants, without a second loading screen. • Faster, more reliable searches and photos when lots of people are using forkIt.
