Hard to navigate
First let me start by saying I can’t even download the app. Second when going through the website to access parent portal, I have to enter my password at least four times before it’s accepted. Finally, no matter what I try, I can’t get to the registration forms. Anywhere it says “click here to register” does not work. All it does it show kids, what grade they are currently in. Changes are being made to the app often but none of them are making it easier to navigate the site.

This page has old information about the my son school. It seem like the last time the principals contact info been updated was 1999.

Terrible App UX
Take a course in User Centered Design. If FWISD is going to spend tax payer dollars, please put them to good use and keep the app useful, easy to use, up-to-date, & modern.
Useless
This app is completely useless. My child’s school is not even listed. FWISD only spent $68 million to upgrade the campus. But forgot to add any information about it.
Doesn’t Keep Selected Information
Each time I select my children’s schools, so that I can see their lunch choices, it doesn’t save it. I have also tried to “follow a school” in the settings and it doesn’t save it there either. For the lunch menu I end up always having to scroll and scroll to find the schools that are in the middle or end of the alphabet bc it doesn’t save their schools or allergies. This should be a simple fix. 😊

Terrible app and quirky
Navigation is terrible and so is the color scheme. The app was just confusing to use. Images are sized weird on some of the pages. Several screens are blank or not working. It is amazing how this app got approved by Apple and the school district. They app's for several school districts and they all exhibit the same quirky behavior!!

Great App for Public School
I love this public school app which informs me of school closing, alerts, or important information about school.

Awesome App!
It is so great that our district has made the effort to keep parents and community members in the loop! This is the way communication should be: convenient, relevant to me and up to date. Keep it up!
More incompetence
Another bad product from the incompetence of FWISD administration and IT dept. the good reviews are by people that have not even tried to use the app yet!
Slow and crashes
Super slow and crashes all the time - most of the app is just a bunch of links to website that aren't even mobile ready - and half the links need load - totally lame...
Not very parent centric
This is app is trying to do too many things. It should be school centered, meaning that from a parent's perspective, I care about district announcements that pertain to my children and their schools. Furthermore, I want to easily check the parent portal (the app just provides a browser window to the website), fill out registration forms and releases (or just confirm existing details if re-enrolling - please!), and check the school calendar. Furthermore, I should be able to interact with my child's PTA through this app. Most FWISD school specific websites are worthless and the meaningful content is hosted on PTA websites.
I expect to use 10% of this app. I've had it installed since the day it came out and seldom use it. We're also very involved in our sons' school, so I'd be using it more if it were more useful.
Some of the functionality that allows for customization is broken or slow. For example, if you want to "follow" a school, the search and selection functionality for finding your school takes a long time and gives no indication that it's working. I wrote this review on my iPhone while waiting for it to find my sons' school.
I went back to try to refresh myself on some of the functionality before writing this review and most of it appears to be broken. That's not surprising when most of it relies on just opening a web page in the app. The district just rolled out a new web site that probably broke some of the URLs that they app expects to exist.
In short, they should have field tested this with parents before launching.
