It’s incredibly accurate it just takes a while to scan which I guess is why it’s incredibly accurate

Thanks for the kind words! The extra time comes from cross-checking each find against peer-reviewed research and other references to get the ID right, so it’s a deliberate tradeoff for accuracy. We’re actually planning to add even more references going forward, so we’re also working on ways to speed up the scan without cutting corners. Really appreciate you noticing the improvement!

Doesn’t work

A clear example of the limits of vibe-coded apps. Wasn’t able to identify a single fossil and it is full of errors.

Free trial and good results

The only fossil ID app I could find that demonstrated what it could do before I had to purchase something, and gave more accurate results than the four or five others I tried. Would love more information on the results, even if just links to where I can read more on what the results mention.
