About

Frabber turns any video into a photo. The exact frame you want, at the exact quality your camera captured it. Scrub the filmstrip to get close, then step one frame at a time until it's perfect. When you export, Frabber writes the real frame: full native resolution, the source's own colour, and every bit of an HDR clip's range. THREE WAYS IN • Import from your photo library • Open a video from Files or iCloud Drive • Record a new clip with the built-in camera FRAME-ACCURATE, NOT APPROXIMATE Plenty of tools hand you whichever frame happens to be nearest. Frabber decodes the video in true presentation order, so the frame you're looking at is the frame you get, even on heavily compressed footage where other apps drift by a frame or two. EXPORTED AT FULL FIDELITY • Full native resolution — never rescaled, never resampled • Lossless PNG, efficient HEIC, or universal JPEG with a quality slider • Display P3, Rec. 2020 and Rec. 709 colour preserved end to end • HDR clips (HLG and PQ) rendered at 16-bit so the highlights survive BUILT FOR PRECISION • Filmstrip scrubbing with a live preview • Single-frame stepping, forwards and backwards • Timecode down to the frame • Every export kept in the in-app Frames gallery YOUR CAMERA ROLL, YOUR CALL Exported frames are always saved inside Frabber. Adding them to your photo library is a toggle. Turn it off and your camera roll stays exactly as it was. PRIVATE BY DESIGN No account. No sign-up. No analytics, no tracking, no ads. Frabber contains no networking code whatsoever, so your videos and the frames you pull from them never leave your device. It never even asks to read your photo library. You choose a video through the system picker, and that single video is all Frabber ever sees. Recording is video-only, so the microphone is never used. FOR THE ONE PERFECT STILL The split second in a sports clip. A frame from a concert. A product shot pulled from B-roll. The one clean frame of a drone pass. A thumbnail that actually looks like the video. Frabber does one thing, and does it exactly.
