Every roll has a few frames that almost worked. The light was right, but the horizon cut through the subject. The moment was there, but you pressed a second late.
Frame Notes is where you work out why and remember it next time.
Grade each frame Keeper, Almost, Missed or Reject. For the ones that almost worked, say what went wrong in your own words, while it's still fresh: "my shadow in the corner", "a second too late". The words you've used before are one tap away.
Turn on Pre-shot in the camera, and each photo keeps about a second and a half either side of the shutter. Scrub through the frames, mark the moment you meant to catch, and see how early or late you pressed. Mark a few, and Frame Notes tells you whether you tend to press late.
Frame Notes groups what you write on your device, so the mistakes that keep coming up show as patterns, named in your words. Each pattern shows when it tends to happen, the fix you wrote last time, and a short technique to try. Each new roll asks whether you remembered your note.
Then your notes come back on their own. Pin one, and it's the first thing you see before your next shoot. Open the camera where you've shot before, and it shows what you wrote there last time.
