Lovely Idea, Bad Execution

Saw how quiet their audience is online, and most recent reviews, within the year, are increasingly terrible. And after looking at the reviews, I certainly question if my social media was not… to their standard? I was waiting around till I heard either acceptance or rejection. Nothing. So I wonder if their way to reject is only ghosting a user? And yeah maybe relying on a users public social image isn’t really nice when I had opted to make my account public just for this app. I’m not openly queer due to my safety which presents a larger concern.

Definitely regret registering and hope my data is completely removed.

Don’t waste your time

They say they’ll review your application. I’ve been waiting weeks. Finally just deleted the application and the app it’s self bc it’s not even WORTH waiting that long for a stupid app. You should have more timely responses or actually respond to people when they ask questions. Not ignore you. Worst customer service ever. Don’t bother downloading app. Waste. Of. Time.

Verifies your social media… GROSS.

Couldn’t even finish signing up because you have to give your social info for “verification” that your persona aligns with your submitted values. Wowzers. Do you understand how this could be used against those in your community you are trying to protect? Noped out so fast. Then started reading reviews here seems like a wise decision…

This isn’t a community it’s a dictatorship

The apps founder Carmen touts that this is a community space for BIPOC ppl. Communities have discuss discussions. Communities look after each other. Communities call people in. Dictatorships make unilateral decisions and kick over 30 members out because they spoke out about problematic mutual aid practices. These 30 folks were encouraged by the dictator to have a discussion and when we had a discussion we were kicked out of the “community”. There were multiple people who tried to mend the fence between the dictator and the dictator stonewalled all talks. That’s what dictators do! Do not join this app, what promises to be is false advertisement!

Dead app?

Been asking for help from developers for a year now and made a new account after no response. Cant get help with either, still have no access to the app. I think the developers might have abandoned support.

Racist dev team

Black users were deleted and banned after speaking out against racist policy. Not a safe space for QTBIPOC.

MAJORLY lacks professionalism

Had my account deleted for speaking out (respectfully might I add) against the creator’s blatant discrimination against black, brown , trans, and disabled people. They claim to be accepting of all these groups but can’t take the constructive criticism/feedback that everyone on their app was giving them about their policies. (And that they asked for!) Rude and disrespectful. Like… How can you attack your own user base?? This app is dead anyway. The best and most active of it’s users were probably deleted as well. Please don’t waste your time.

it's alrighh

it's got potential

When can I expect an answer from my application

Sent in an application for the app on 2/9. Haven’t heard anything since. Not super professional.

Neat idea

Love the layout of the app. Got approved, made a single post and then was banned. I tried to ask support what happened but never heard back. 🤷‍♂️

I found my people

After getting off most of my social medias I was feeling lonely and disconnected, but finding this app has really changed my idea of what online community means to me. I feel welcomed and seen and I really enjoy the way the app functions and serves its purpose. I highly recommend.

ice goes through your social media, too

i bet this app rules if you have social media to be scrutinized by someone who unironically identifies as a “disaster lesbian” but what are you supposed to do if you DONT have social media? and why would you think this is a smart way to gatekeep a community?

thumbs down

the app is pretty lame now, ngl. all my feed is is people asking for money because of unfortunate circumstances (or just because), people venting about their unfortunate lives, awful political takes and pointless discourse, and i think there may be bots on here

This is not how you verify users

Requiring people verify identity through sharing a link to a public social media is gross. None of my social media is public as i don't want my information accessible to those who shouldn't have it. This is not okay.

Sapphic & supportive

The app is a lovely queer community that is super supportive. The diversity of ways to post is great- there really is something for everyone. Best part is it’s not tainted like a lot of other queer dating apps- it still feel very organic & grass roots.

getting harder to use

i wish there was a dedicated space for mutual aid requests. the posts are constant on my feed. it’d also be nice if there was a way to mark posts with trigger warnings that talk about sensitive subjects. overall the app is okay, i don’t enjoy it as much as i used to

prove your digital footprint

they require you to give a link to something associated with your digital footprint like social media or a portfolio. i don’t have a job where i need a portfolio but i do have a job where my social media has to be all private, so that’s that.

Awesome community!

People on this app are so supportive and welcoming. I’m always anxious to join and interact on social media, but here I love posting about my day and seeing what other peeps are up too. App is always improving, and I hope to see more people join!

Phone number required

I don’t like how you have to give your cell phone number to sign up. I get enough spam calls id rather use an email.

Response from developer

Hey! We use phone numbers for sign-ups because it’s a more secure way to protect your account—emails can be easier to hack. The only message you’ll ever get from us is a verification code to log in. We don’t send promotional texts, and we never sell your data, so you won’t receive spam.
