FAQ

What does Frederick teach?

Frederick teaches users how to read, spell, and pronounce English. It covers phonics, which are the rules of English pronunciation, and sight words, which are words that don't follow typical pronunciation rules. The app includes all 44 sounds of English and progresses from the alphabet to advanced words and full sentences.

How does Frederick help users learn English?

The app uses a two-step process. First, users compare letter combinations to develop reading, pronunciation, and listening skills, with pictures used instead of translations. Second, fun games reinforce learning to build confidence and fluency automatically. This method aims to make learning engaging and effective, especially for non-native speakers.

What is the cost of Frederick?

The first three levels of Frederick, covering the alphabet, short vowels and consonants, and three-letter words, are free. To access levels 4 through 35, which include more complex phonetic patterns and word types, a one-time upgrade fee is required. A discount is offered if the upgrade is purchased within the first 30 minutes of use.

Is Frederick available offline?

Yes, Frederick works offline, allowing users to learn and practice English reading and pronunciation without an internet connection. This feature makes it convenient for learning on the go or in areas with limited connectivity.

Who is Frederick designed for?

Frederick is designed for adult English language learners who want to improve their reading and pronunciation to reduce their accent and understand native speakers better. It's also suitable for beginning English learners who want to learn entirely in English and for teachers and parents seeking an accessible reading education tool.
