Looks just like paper, loads well. Wish it would recognize when that day’s paper is open and not ask if you’d like to change editions if you stop for a few minutes.

The apps makes reading the paper digitally similar to reading a paper copy. It’s very easy to use and colorful.

This is a great AP. The paper reads normally like a real news paper and the AP never crashes.
Great app... when it works
This app is great, it’s so much easier to read the digital news in this newspaper format, versus scrolling through articles. That being said, it has basically stopped working. It freezes every time I open it. It takes 10 minutes every morning before it might work, I don’t have time for that.
After the last update (March 2022) the app no longer works on the latest version of iPadOS. This app continues to be plagued by technical problems.

Fun to use. Separate section forward from page forward further apart
As stated above the section forward and page forward tabs are too close together.

Must uninstall every few days
Worked fine for months. Now must be reinstalled periodically because screen area displays 1/4 page instead of full page with no apparent way to recover.
PC version of the subscription will not open the e-edition.
I am very disappointed that my PC upgrade has disabled the e- edition of the free press. Tech support has been useless.

Great news app
I didn’t think I’d enjoy reading newspaper electronically but like how paper in its original format is available and can click on any article to read easy to read format. Occasional glitches but nothing major. A great way to check in with my local paper daily
Good articles but technical problems.
Even though I can get national news from many sources I still like to know what is happening locally. I wish your newspaper would be a little more like VT Digger. I believe any national news you have in the paper is simply passed along to the people who assemble the paper articles. It takes a reporter locally to learn what is happening locally.
On the issue of technical problems we have had problems down loading the bonus edition on some of our devices. Suddenly I am able to download them again. When I called to find out if someone could tell me if I was doing something wrong the person said that the Free Press was aware and working on it. There is still no explanation as to why I could not download the supplement but my wife could.

Buggy, buggy, buggy
I’ve used this app for several YEARS and it continues to be very user unfriendly. Crashes, takes forever, has to reload constantly. If you get up to refresh your coffee, plan to be waiting on it to remember where you left off. It just can’t. I’d like an alternative to this mess, but don’t want to go back to reading the physical daily paper. Developers, HELP!

Greatly appreciate having the app available, but still has quite a few quirks of locking up or pages being blank and has to be closed/reopened to function again.
