The features I’ve wanted!

This app actually addresses what I need from a screen time app. Promotes mindfulness - lets me be responsible for my usage, and has time based constraints that aren’t easy to get around

Adding ideal intention to my day

FreeTime adds a gentle layer of mindful attention to parts of my day that used to slip into distraction. Helps me stay present with self and with the passions. I find the design to be super grounding and the experience feels purposeful in a way that supports real presence. It has quickly become something I find myself being grateful for on the regular. It is genuinely life improving app.

Intentional app usage works

I love the way that Free Time prompts you to do something before unlocking an app you have blocked. my scrolling on instagram went way down immediately after downloading it. the only improvement i would suggest is that sometimes the blocked app doesn’t get locked the first time you switch back to Free Time using the notification, and you have to re-open or go back to Free Time for it to lock the app, but not a huge deal.
