Great and still Improving
I’ve been using FreeAgent, in combination with Mettle bank, and the two work well together.
For the first time ever this year, I’ve filed limited liability accounts and associated paperwork, straight to both Companies House and HMRC, without needing to call on the services of my accountant.
If your incoming funds and outgoings have been properly catergorised, you can file end of year accounts and even self assessment data straight to the authorities via FreeAgent.
Between Stripe and GoCardless, I think we’ve got most payments sorted.
I’ve a slight criticism; FreeAgent needs to get up to speed with AI, and Claude Code connectors and MCP access, in particular.
I don’t think I could run my business as well without FreeAgent and its army of customer support help.

Clunky
As someone who’s used app based invoicing/ estimating software, this seems quite clunky and unresponsive. There’s no way of re-ordering items in the list which should be a basic requirement of this app.
So far so good!
Only just started using.. customer support is great!
Incredibly clever
I was made aware of free agent from a tradesman coming to the house. I have now been able to add my bank accounts, have a business account with mettle so free banking, free invoicing, everything in one place and so easy to use, from phone to laptop so on the go really and recommend.
Support is fab and sinister friendly
Support comms are quick. Format is excellent compared with Xero and Quickbooks.

Older phones unsupported
Another app development that doesn’t allow older phones to work with it
Useless with older operating system!
Can no longer use as app needs iOS 18 and won’t proceed without updating… my phone has no space to update to iOS 18. Massively inconvenient and can no longer do accounting on the go… which is why I signed up to FreeAgent in the first place 🙃

Utterly useless!
When I open the app it insists I have to update the app. When I go to the App Store, either directly or through the app prompt, no updates are available! The app now requires iPadOS 18 or later, for very particular compatibility and consistency reasons I'm remaining on iPadOS 17.

As title says... This is just annoying. It's a great app but now I can't use it.

Great app to help keep my accounts organised as I am not organised at all.
Issue
Really good. But with a recent update the app will not go full screen in landscape. It opens in a scaled down version. Please fix!
Can no longer use
I was loving this until now, why the hell have you updated the ap to a later version.my phone does not support this update, so the ap is now useless
Latest version says to update app when is already updated
Can't open the app, says need to update the app but its already the latest version from 2d ago.
