About
Freefly Flux is the field app for the Freefly Flux LiDAR payload. Run the scan, process it on your iPad or iPhone, and check the point cloud before you leave the site.
FLY
Connect to your Flux payload over the drone's local network. See live sensor, GNSS, IMU and recording status, start and stop recording, and watch the flight path draw on the map. The connection state is always shown, so you know when you are recording and when you are not.
PROCESS
Open a raw scan from the Flux USB drive, add a base station file (RINEX) or use the corrections recorded in the scan, and process it on the device. The app solves the trajectory with PPK, refines the sensor alignment, and separates ground from everything above it. Your scan is processed on your device, not uploaded.
VIEW
Explore the point cloud in 3D. Color by height, height above ground or intensity, orbit around it or look straight down, and show the flight path over the cloud. You can also open LAS and LAZ files you already have.
DELIVER
Export LAS or LAZ in the coordinate system your project needs: geographic, UTM or State Plane, with a choice of datum and ellipsoidal or NAVD88 (GEOID18) heights. The coordinate system is written into the file.
TRY IT WITHOUT A PAYLOAD
A sample point cloud is built in. Open it from the start screen to explore the viewer.
WHAT YOU NEED
Recording and live status need a Freefly Flux payload, flown on a Freefly Astro or Alta X. Processing needs a scan recorded by Flux. Viewing works with the built-in sample or any LAS or LAZ file.
Help from the Freefly team is one tap away: Log to Team sends the app's diagnostics to Freefly support when you ask it to.
