FreeShadow

FreeShadow is a free language shadowing app for improving listening, speaking rhythm, and vocabulary through repeated practice with real audio and video. Import your own video or audio files, choose free practice resources, or search podcasts, then follow along with generated transcripts. FreeShadow helps you listen, repeat, review, and save useful words or phrases for later study. Speech recognition and text processing run locally on your device. Your audio, video, transcripts, vocabulary, and practice history are not uploaded to a server. The app is completely free to use. Some features require one-time downloads, such as language models, translation language packs, or selected audio resources. Ongoing support and improvements will continue.
