Not sure if this is an April Fools' joke? Either way, I will make sure the next version is accurate for sine sweeps and pink noise. In my recent findings I can say Fourier based analyzers are very inaccurate for pink noise, the properly calibrated version of FrequenSee should be superior.

I’m a sound engineer and found the old visualizer to be so helpful and accurate! Now I can’t use it

Version 3.1 won't freeze on iOS 16. Proper line drawing will come back in the next version. Accuracy is currently also top priority. The new version will merge the responsiveness of the current version with the smoothness of the old version and will be more accurate than ever.

Well, version 2.0 was using simple FFT like everyone else. This however, is not the right way of measuring in respect to human perception. I acknowledge the current version has issues with blur and I already have an idea for version 4.0 greatly improving measurements and presentation.

Yes, there are plans for adding an option for suitable short-term averaging and improving upon the new frequency measurement system. If possible we want to avoid going back to the traditional Fourier-based analysis though, because we are not convinced by its accuracy. The goal is to achieve human-like perception quality.

Simple / functional
Multiple test-tones were FFT’d accurately using standard inbuilt mic. Great for looking at general frequency content in a pinch. And it’s a factor of 10 cheaper than competing apps, which sport a lot of burdensome “features”.
