Excellent

Fun and useful. Easy to use.

Love it so far

It has only been 10 minutes but I see where this is going. I thought I knew the fret board well enough to not make mistakes. The time element exposes gaps. It’s fun.

Solid app with privacy

This app is really good for quizzing yourself on the fretboard. It’s affordable ($10 lifetime for all features), and it has a much better privacy policy than the other apps. Feels like it was made by a guitarist to help other guitarists. Not just a cash/data grab like many other apps. The interface is kind of old school, which is nice because it works flawlessly. Way better than flashy apps that get buggy. I’m really happy with it, and I feel good knowing my cash went to a solo developer.

Nice & Simple but

Identify by sound does not work. the sound doesn’t sound

Garbage

Get the sølo app instead

Very good App, few more Features needed

Hello,

i like the App very much and making good progress so far. It’s very clear Designed and the Games are fun to play. Also the Kind of games are very well choosen.

One thing i would Like to See in the App would be, that the App makes differences between ocataves. So that i would need to locate C1, C2, C3 for example. Maybe this can be added in a future update:)

I also had a bug where the marked Note on the fretboard wasnt pickable on thr bottom half.

But besides that: Thanks for the Great App and greetings from Germany!

2010 vibes in a good way

This app has the same user interface feeling as an iPhone three (yes the one with the black round back) game. I mean that in a good way. I love how simple you had effective. This app makes learning the guitar, wow keeping it fun and stress-free. You can take it as seriously as you want and I love that you can keep track of your score as improvement is not easily seen in the day but rather over periods of time which I think is where a lot of beginner musicians tend to lose Hope in that blindness.

Great App

I have nothing to complain, it makes a lot of fun and I learn the fretboard. I am a wannabe bass player, so it would be great if you could include a possibility to change the number of strings or instruments. Thanks for this app🤘

Great app for quick practice. Paid version should have more

This is a great little app. If you added actual note sounds to each game instead if the generic “ding”, I would have bought it a long time ago.
Still this is a most for fretboard memorization.
Kudos!

Rock star en devenir

Très bonne application, bien fait. Tout est bien expliqué et c’est un bon début pour s’entraîner à la guitare.
Je recommande !

Nice

Very nice technique!

The ear training feature isn’t producing any sound

The identify by sound wasn’t making sound, I exited and entered back and sound came, but it doesn’t sound like a guitar, its a really disturbing beep sound

Took away my pro

I’d like to give this a better review but after a year of having this uninstalled I reinstalled it to find out they took away my 10$ pro access :/

Great app

This is a wonderful and fun guitar learning tool. Couldn’t be happier. Tried many and this is the go to one. No subscription.

$$$

$9.99 per month and it doesn't show up in my apple subscriptions, so I'm not sure how to cancel.

Good but could use more options

I like the app. It has good games to learn the fretboard from, however I wish there were more options for the games as far as choosing which frets and notes you can use. For instance in the practice tab, you can choose which area of the fretboard and notes you want to practice on. Which is helpful if you want to focus on a specific area you want to learn, however the other games do not have this option (as you progress in levels, you unlock more frets and notes). Rather than being able to get familiar with an area of the fretboard and then moving on, you will get random areas each game with new notes which can get difficult to keep track of. I’d recommend either adding these games to the practice tab so you can focus on specific areas for each game, or simply adding these settings to the games. Also not sure if this is a bug but when I try to use the “identify notes by tone” game, there is no sound played. So kind of useless currently.. otherwise with a few tweaks this app would be very helpful, hope these changes can be made

Can totally recommend

... but I stumbled over a bug where I can not select the note shown on the fretboard because no button is present for that note. The note shown is a D# but there are only buttons for C D E F G A B. I just had arrived level 2. It's a bummer that there is no support channel available where I can report this issue with a screenshot rather than postin it as a review comment. Anyways I like tha app a lot and willing to rate 5 stars as soon the issue is fixed.

Response from developer

Hello! Thank you so much for your feedback. We’ve identified the source of the bug and will be including the fix in our next update. You’re also spot-on about the support channel, and we’ll be addressing that as well. Thanks again for your help!

Not what I was thinking

I bought this hoping that more frets would be added on the higher levels I go, so I paid a while $10. Come to find out instead of adding on frets and showing all frets (like in the explore fretboard view) it just shows 4 frets at a time and each fret is numbered, so it may start at 5 and go up 4 from there. I can’t learn the fretboard that way and imagine it like that. It would have been wayyyyy better if it was set up like the fretboard view and you were able to scroll down the fretboard. It would give me a visual instead of having to try and imagine higher up frets because that’s not a realistic view of a guitar. I’m just sad sales are final because I didnt realize it was set up like this

Response from developer

Hello, To see all the frets, you can go to settings and disable the following toggle: Preferences > Show only selected frets while playing. If this resolves your issue, we’d appreciate it if you could reconsider your review. Hope this helps!

Lefty Paywall

Downloaded to try out the features. I am left handed. I learned I would have to purchase the Pro version right from the start in order to flip the strings to a lefty setup. Sorry, not going to pay a fee for being left handed.

Great tool - one suggestion/request

Great app. Very intuitive user friendly and useful. Only missing one thing - the ability to isolate a string and identify notes along that single string rather than just a section of the fretboard.
