Update - why?

This app was perfect. What have you done? Why did you remove the clean layout and visible circle of fifths? At least make it optional.

One star review lol you are a big goy

Exactly what i needed

Perfect Fret learning app with all possibilities to configure it to your needs.

Thank you for this gem of a subscription free app <3

Sine Waves

To my guitarist comrades I recommend using this to play with sine waves and signal chains itโ€™s great fun and often sounds great.

Love it

Used this app for years. Love the redesign. Just wish they didnโ€™t get rid of the circle of fifths visual bc I used that.

No DADGAD

Mentions dadgad in the description but not available to select in tunings ๐Ÿ™

Response from developer

Both dadgad and dagdad available, you can also create your own creepy weird tunings too yuck ๐Ÿคข โ€œlets give one star this free awswome appโ€

Looks better than ever

The new UI looks and feels incredible! At its most basic, it's an incredibly inspirational tool. But as with all of this dev's apps, this one provides a very useful and new approach to music making, especially benefiting guitarists trying to think outside the box.

No sharps!

I was very surprised to find only flats are used. I e searched for a setting, tried various scales and keys but they all use flats rather than sharps.
Why oh why?
Itโ€™s a shame as the app has a lovely clean interface just marred by this.

Quick, Easy, Clear

Great quick app! Pick your root & scale/mode, and it shows the fretboard map, chords (major/minor/diminished). You can even customize the tuning of each string so you get a fretboard map for open tunings!! -VERY- handy. I would really love to see the option to colour code the Root note (and possibly other intervals) on the fret map

Your Guitar Accompaniment

This is great to accompany you in your journey to master the guitar fretboard. Compliant for Bass and Ikulele and other stringed monsters. Just select your tuning and wahlah all will be revealed ๐Ÿ˜

Great reference source

Simple and clear and very useful

Oops

In principal a useful tool. However, I should, under no reasonable circumstances whatsoever, be shown the second degree of an E major scale as Gb, or the third degree as Ab! There may be some kind of setting to change this, but, sorry, it simply shouldnโ€™t be possible in the first place. ITโ€™S WRONG, PERIOD!

Very useful and free!

I canโ€™t believe this great app is free, invaluable tool for any string instrument player and teacher!

Buggy

Strings come up in reverse order when initializing. Changing anything (like the scale type) gets them proper.

Must have

This app is simple, clear and a great help. To have all your scales in one easy source is well worth the money. Highly recommend.

Hey Man, you donโ€™t put a maj3 in a minor7b5!

Not quite what I expected

Thought I could roll through the cycle of fifths via the wheel. Not crazy about blending black dots on frets either. Prefer discrete dots to large blocks for memorization of patterns. I won't use it, I regret to say.
