presets keep getting deleted
every time i make a new preset the previous ones or the new ones always get deleted please fix the bug that is making this app completely useless for practicing on the go
So much better than what’s out there
Interface - stellar
Functionality - super useful
Design - A+
Navigation - this is the highlight of the app. Only what you need is there and things you didn’t know you did ;)
I was pleasantly surprised when I opened this app. I was expecting the same fretboard map or training game that everything else is. This app is so much more than that.

The perfect app for anyone serious about guitar!
I recently started taking lessons on music theory and how it applies to guitar and this app has been an invaluable resource! While working on alternative voicings of chords in the jazz standard “Autumn Leaves”, it helped me see how to build a chord around where the melody lands, making it sound better while being easier to play. I’ve also used it for music theory homework, mapping the exercises to the fretboard. This has allowed me to more easily see associations that are helping me improve my technique.
All and all a great app and a must have for anyone serious about guitar!

Fantastic (at least on iPad). GET THIS APP!
The user interface is easy, smooth, and intuitive.
It’s easy to find one note (like ‘A’), or any chord triad (three notes making up a chord) across the entire fretboard.
It will show any scale (major, minor, pentatonics) scale across the fretboard. Push left or right arrows to see individual note combos.
The only two improvements I could think of…
1. Mark the root, 3rd, 4th, and 5th notes with a symbol, color, or numerals like I, ii, iii, IV, V.
That would take scales and inversions to the next level!
2. Toggle between flat (b) and sharp (#) for notes.
It’s weird seeing ‘Bb’ in the ‘A’ major triads 😱

Exactly What I Needed!
I’ve been searching for this for awhile. Just an easy guide showing you all the different ways to play a chord. Super easy; super helpful.
Had potential but falls way short
The main issues with this app is it’s way too small for phones and the chord presets are simply wrong. There are better apps for this.
Response from developer
Hey PerryCodes! Sorry to hear about your experience, I am always trying to improve FretFinder so it is free of bugs and works on a larger range of devices. Would you be so kind as to send an email to fretfinderhelp@gmail.com with some details about which device you are using? And also, which chord presets did you find incorrect? This will all help the app get to a better place :) Thanks again for downloading my humble app, I appreciate you!
Fantastic
One of the best apps to learn or increase your proficiency with guitar. I have used this so much.
I really like it
