What's New in Fretone
1.1
September 29, 2026
Celestial Strings is now Fretone — same app, new name. • Chords: every chord in the library now plays as a real guitar voicing, and G major uses the full four-finger shape. • Fingerstyle: the new Tapestry mode lets you chain chords and notes into your own fingerpicking sequences and loop them. • Metronome: tempo up to 600 BPM, tap tempo right on the dial (press and hold the dial), and a choice of click sounds — sine, woodblock, or chime. • Tuner: a steadier needle, a fixed "in tune" reference mark, a green mark for each string you've tuned, clearer readout, and 12-string guitar support. • A new volume control in the settings menu, more natural guitar sounds, and a refreshed look with Liquid Glass on iOS 26 and macOS Tahoe.
