Doesn’t Do What it Says
My friends and I have conducted multiple experiments with this app. It does NOT actually match you with “friends of friends”. It will say that a recommended match is a contact of two of my friends, but neither of them know who that person is or even has that name or a similar name in their contacts list. Then later, they’ll both get the exact same person, as a recommended match, with it saying he’s a direct contact of someone else. Pretty messed up and dishonest that the app is completely misrepresenting what it’s doing. The whole point I signed up was because it felt safer than meeting complete strangers. We will all be deleting and telling everyone we know to stay away.

Includes fake people
I have confirmed with other friends using this app that many of the people they supposedly “know” are fake. I’m not sure if it’s the company themselves doing it to inflate numbers, or someone independently making fake profiles, but I only had real people for 2 days.
Poorly executed, just use Cerca
The concept of this app is almost identical to Cerca, where I’ve had much better experiences (cleaner user interface, more reliable matching, much larger base of users, and for some reason more attractive users). This app is good on paper but was not well executed.
Location settings
There’s no obvious way to say “show me potential matches within a certain mile radius”. Every candidate being proposed lives literally across the country.
Doesn’t work
This app simply is unrealistic. Really glitchy and poor interface. Extremely disappointed.
Response from developer
Sorry to hear it’s been a disappointing experience. We’d really like to understand what’s feeling glitchy or unrealistic for you so we can improve it. If you’re open to it, email us at steven@frndsoffrnds.com with a bit more detail (or screenshots) and we’ll take a look.
