About

Land on a distant world and turn a fragile outpost into a living civilization. Frontier Architect is a strategy simulation where every road, mine, farm, and power plant reshapes trade routes, settlements, and the political map of your planet. Choose your first landing zone with unique water, food, mineral, and safety ratings, then expand through six connected views: Map, City, Economy, People, Politics, and World. Place houses, workshops, markets, warehouses, bridges, and industrial buildings to grow population, unlock resources, and keep your colony supplied. Watch the simulation respond in real time. Colonists move toward jobs, merchants follow your roads, new districts emerge from strategic decisions, and foreign nations react to your rise. Adjust simulation speed, pause to plan, and revisit a living history as your outpost becomes regions, nations, and continents. Whether you prefer careful infrastructure planning or bold expansion, Frontier Architect rewards thoughtful building with a world that remembers what you create.

What's New in Frontier Architect

1.2

October 7, 2026

The app now focuses entirely on the colony and construction—eliminating extraneous startup screens. The map has been improved, featuring better scaling, a quick jump to the capital, construction hints, and building demolition. Production chains, inter-settlement trade, political decisions, and diplomacy are all fully functional. New additions include choice-based events, colony objectives, resource shortage warnings, and the option to start a new colony.
