About

Every seed packet says "sow 6 weeks before your last frost." Frostline is the app that knows when your last frost is — and turns every packet on your shelf into dates on a calendar. Tell it where you garden. It finds the nearest weather station in NOAA's 1991–2020 frost normals, shows you your season, and builds the whole year around it: when to start indoors, when to transplant, when to direct sow, when to expect the first harvest, and when to get the fall crops in before the cold comes back. WHAT YOU GET • Your real frost dates — from published NOAA station normals, not a hardiness zone guess. Choose how much risk you want to take: the average date, or the safer one you'd bet tomato seedlings on. • A season built for you — 60 vegetables and herbs, each with sowing depth, spacing, days to maturity and hardiness compiled from university extension publications. Every crop cites its sources, right in the app. • Today, not a wall of dates — open the app and see only what's actually due. Two taps to tick it off. • Succession planting, handled — say you want lettuce all summer and Frostline schedules the repeat sowings for you, stopping when it's too late to bother. • Change your mind without losing your plan — move a sowing and everything downstream shifts with it. A late spring? Shift the whole season by a week in one tap. • Beds and rotation — assign crops to beds and get a warning when you're about to put tomatoes where the tomatoes were last year. • A journal that earns its keep — photos, notes and harvest weights, tagged to the crop and the bed, so next February you know what actually worked. • On every device you garden with — your plan, journal and photos sync through your own iCloud account, so the phone in the greenhouse and the iPad on the kitchen table show the same garden. No Frostline account to make. • Reminders that stay quiet — a nudge the morning something's due, a Sunday summary if you want one, and nothing at all in the dead of winter. BUILT THE WAY A GARDEN APP SHOULD BE No account. No sign-up. No feed. The planning runs entirely on your device — the place search, the frost normals and the whole schedule work with the phone in airplane mode in the middle of a field. Your records sync through your own private iCloud account, the same way Apple's own apps do. There is no Frostline server and no Frostline login, so nothing you write down ever reaches us — we have no way to read it. Signed out of iCloud, Frostline simply keeps everything on the device. And you can export the whole thing — every planting, task, note and harvest — as JSON, free, any time. That one is not a paid feature and never will be. FREE AND UNLIMITED Frostline is free for 5 crops, 1 bed and 20 photos — enough to plan a real first season. Frostline Unlimited removes the caps and adds succession automation, rotation warnings, whole-season shifting, and PDF and CSV exports. If you stop paying, nothing is taken away: you keep viewing and exporting everything you ever logged. The caps only apply to adding something new. A NOTE ON HONESTY Frostline is a planning reference, not a forecast. Frost normals describe what usually happens, and gardens are famously indifferent to what usually happens. Use the dates as a strong starting point, then trust your own eyes on the day. Questions, a crop you want added, a station that looks wrong? There's a link to support in Settings, and a person reads it. Terms of Use: https://www.apple.com/legal/internet-services/itunes/dev/stdeula/
