Don’t use

This app does not give you a trial period to check if you like the app or not before purchasing. The app tells you initially that it cost $10.88 and then ask u to take a picture. After taking a picture Apple services charges you $10.88 without allowing you to decide if u like the app or not, or if the app really works. It’s a ripoff! I called Apple Services immediately to complain and request a refund. they told me that it will take 48 hours to review my request. I am thinking about removing my card from my Apple account if Apple continues to allow third party developers to perform such actions.

Not for survival but for amusement

I once came across a tree on a path behind my house. This tree held the most glorious but peculiar fruit, I wanted to eat but dare not die from its poison it may behold. I then used my smart phone to try to see if I could find out if this fruit would kill me or give nutrients I need to survive another day. I then found this app and for 9.99 a month that would identify fruits that were edible. I thought my life has changed for the better, but then I was cursed with the true knowledge of this app that clearly has no knowledge. It started off with a picture they provided of an orange. Now I’ve seen plenty of oranges and get identify them instantly, I will tell you fruit identifier cannot do the same. They presented an orange and confirmed it by 80.24%. I then took a picture of a lemon and asked them to identify it and it was a 4% chance it was a pineapple. I’ve seen a lemon and I’ve seen a pineapple, I’ve never mixed the two fruits up. I took a picture of myself and it confirmed I am a Java berry.

Not a free app

You can download the app for free, but you can’t use it without paying a $10/month subscription fee. I’m not paying that, so I can’t actually speak to how the app works if you do.

This app is so inaccurate

I’ve tried taking a photo of an Apple to see if it works and it said peaches. This app is not great and it’s not accurate. I don’t recommend using this app.

Apple?

Took picture of an apple and it doesn’t tell me what kind of apple.

Not close

Gave a 5 % accuracy on the image which opened up in Wikipedia for greater details. Not impressed. Easier to search Google.
