App does not work on an iPhone Xs!
I just bought this app for $3.99 on the Apple store. Set it up for a Filet that was 2.8 inches thick. Hit the start button and the timer said 13.99. What a start. 46 minutes after I placed the filet on the grill, I got an alert to take the steak off the grill.
The timer did not work properly. I would like them to either fix this or refund my money.

Temp
Simply add the target temp to remove from heat to the timer page and earn three more stars. Timing is good as a general guide, but is useless without at least a target temp for the desired cook level of the meat.

Great app but doesn't give alerts
The app is great because you enter your cut, thickness and how well you want it done. The timer kind of works but when you aren't on the app it won't alert you. While on the app the timer stops and I had to turn the screen off and back on to see the progress of the timer. It worked well enough to grill my steaks but those 2 issues made it a little challenging

Where’s the cooking temperature!?
Couldn’t agree more with the other reviewers criticizing the lack of a cooking temperature. What a waste!!
Unreliable
After about the 3rd use the timer would just freeze thus completely eliminating any use of the app. Deleted it. Worthless except for getting a cooking time..then you’re on your own.

If you’re not going to tell people at what temperature to cook a steak, then why make an app?

Countdown Timer Does Not Work
The countdown timer doesn’t even work. Deleted and reloaded app and still doesn’t work. Wow, isn’t that kind of important?

Where’s the Temperature?
Design and ease of use is great.
But what temperature do you cook at? Medium? High? Perhaps this app is useful if you have the experience to gauge what heat level to use - but when the title of the app is literally “how to cook steak,” I don’t think you are hitting the target audience.
This app could have a lot of potential too, like tips (patting the steak dry, letting seasonings sit before searing, recovering an undercooked steak, etc), or useful information, like what internal temperature to look for when using a meat thermometer.
Also, this is just nitpicking, but do you really need two splash screens taking up 4 seconds on app startup? Either there is some serious initialization going on (which is bizarre for such a simple app), or it’s unnecessary. It’s like waiting 4 seconds to open the Clock app.
Anyway, neat concept and design. But features are sorely lacking.

FRYYY - Nice Try but Not Quite
This is a very basic cooking app and is missing some very important information on how to cook a great steak. It completely neglects method of cooking like barbecue or pan fry or grill, what type of stove are you using, no mention of temperature settings as an example... how much oil to use, how do you Season the steak? How much salt to season with? Resting times ? do you cook it in the middle of the pan or the outer edges? There are so many different ways to cook steak and this is basically just a timer relating to the cut and thickness of the steak. No other information is provided

The app looks good and works well.
But it needs more content like temperatures and cooking methods.
I like how you can see where the cuts of meat come from but again it would be nice if you could go into it and get more info on the cuts.
Also would be nice if you could change the animal. Cow , sheep , pig
