FAQ
What is BIOBUZZ Scorer?
BIOBUZZ Scorer is a scoring calculator and match timer for the 2026-2027 FIRST Tech Challenge game, BIOBUZZ. It was developed by FIRST Tech Challenge Team 36633 Luminary to provide a faster alternative to spreadsheets for in-match scoring.
How does BIOBUZZ Scorer calculate scores?
You can pick a category, tap plus or minus to adjust scores for hive tips, pollen, nectar, garden, flowers, leaves, parks, and fouls. The totals update in real-time, and it shows the ranking points earned by each alliance.
What are the timer features in BIOBUZZ Scorer?
The timer follows the official game sequence: a three-second countdown, 30 seconds of auto, an eight-second transition, and two minutes of teleop. It plays field cues and provides a 20-second warning. You can tap the clock to start or pause it.
Does BIOBUZZ Scorer save match data?
The quick math calculator for individual alliances does not save anything. However, the History section saves every match you score with a full breakdown for both alliances, and the analysis page provides insights into your performance.
Can I customize ranking point thresholds in BIOBUZZ Scorer?
Yes, you can change the ranking point thresholds in the Settings section for regional and championship events. This allows you to adapt the scoring to specific competition rules.
Is BIOBUZZ Scorer the official FIRST Tech Challenge scoring app?
