When a significant cost changes between price book printings, you can either find a way to adjust your pricing upward to accommodate the cost increase or you will suffer reduced profitability until you can print new price books.
Much attention has been given recently to the rising price of gasoline. Use this resource to determine how much you should adjust your pricing to account for rising fuel costs. By entering your target gross margin for service, you ensure that you generate a profit on the fuel price adjustment. Otherwise, net profit as a percent of sales will be lower than your target.
The calculator rounds up to the next highest whole dollar amount by default. You can turn off the rounding function if desired.
