HOW TO PLAY - Each puzzle gives you a set of balanced scales and one unsolved scale - Each symbol stands for the same hidden number everywhere it appears - Work from the scale that pins down a single symbol, then substitute forward - Enter the missing value to finish EXACTLY ONE ANSWER Every puzzle is generated as a system of equations and then checked by a solver. Only puzzles with exactly one possible set of values are shipped, so the scales on screen always contain enough information — no guessing, no ambiguity, no puzzle that turns out to be broken. DIFFICULTY THAT IS MEASURED, NOT GUESSED Rated from the structure of the puzzle itself: how many unknowns there are, whether any scale gives a symbol away immediately, how many substitutions the shortest path needs, and whether counting the symbols carefully matters.
