Great Webcam Solution but limited camera settings
I got this as a way to connect my phone as to plug my phone in directly into an hdmi input source to stream with as a webcam. I know there are other apps you can use wirelessly, but they pretty much all have latency / lag by a second or two which usually makes your video and audio out of sync if you are using a nice streaming mic… so this app is kinda a perfect solution.. however currently you have limited ability to adjust camera setting such as exposure / zooming / focal length.. this app would be insanely better if those settings were available. You already have most of these settings on the newer iPhones so it’s kinda a waste of features that already exist on the phone… I still use it as a streaming webcam and it still does a great job… but could be a way better solution to streamers to have a quality camera instead of an expensive Sony camera or something.

This app is great!
This app works great I used it to stream screen mirror something and it makes everything look so much better. The only issue is that the zoom is kinda wonky but other than that it is perfect.
HOW DO YOU TAKE A PIC??
I’ve tried everything but I can’t figure out how to actually use this app to take a photo..? Is it even possible? So weird.
The best and only one app out there
This app is a life savior. I use it with ecamm live and it works perfectly. Before that, I used to have to setup dslr cameras, spend a lot of time fixing stuff. Now I just plug my phone and boom I have a camera plugged on my Mac. This is the best and don’t have any issues whatsoever with it. I’ve been using it for months now. Devs, you’re the best!

Doesn’t work on iOS 16

Obviously the only reason someone would need this app is if they are trying to enlarge something, in my case I want my entire phone screen to reflect what I see through a spotting scope. I need the largest image possible. The reason I can’t give it five stars is because it is missing the ability to do certain functions. One of them being able to change the exposure. Brighten or darken the image. I know it does it automatically but there are situations especially with a spotting scope that having manual control over that would be extremely useful.

Love this app!
I use this app for livestreaming without the "noise" associated with the iPhone camera app and others.
Ditto the comment(s) about the zoom being outlandishly sensitive, but that is something I rarely use (though admittedly if it worked better, I'd use it more).
My only other enhancement request, is to make this a Picture-in-Picture app that can float over any other app. As a YouTube livestreamer, usually with a different focus (drone view), I'd love to be able to also include a face-facing view to enhance that image. This is done by Prism Live out of the box - but only on Android. I suspect that Apple has something to do with the fact that this feature is not available in any camera app I've found ... but if it were possible, that would be my wish. And I'd happily pay (one time) to have that feature!

Solid; some suggestions to improve!
It definitely works for what I need it for, which is acting as a camera source in OBS. I think a few changes could make this app really spectacular.
-the zoom is really persnickety. If I try to pinch to zoom, it zooms WAY in really fast, and it’s hard to just get zoomed in a little. For example, if I’m using this as a facecam, it’ll zoom way up to my nose, so close that I can barely see anything, when I’m really just trying to get my head and shoulders.
-Would be cool for this app to be able to use some of the iPhone camera’s more advanced features, like portrait mode, or macro on the 13 Pro’s.

Such a simple app and the only one I could find to do a basic but much needed function. If you use a phone adapter to mount you camera to a spotting scope , you want this app. Fills your entire screen with the camera view. Most importantly it easily lets you disable auto focus so you can use your scope / eyepiece to do this task

Needs an update
Was working perfectly but stopped after last update to MacOS Big Sur 11.4. (intel) Camera no longer visible from the Mac. Used with iOS 14.7.1.
Perfect for using iPhone as a quicktime camera
Tip to get rid of home button/bar on iPhone X and newer: turn on Accessibility>Guided Access while using the app. You can even add a shortcut for Guided Access to Control Center for convenience. To turn off Guided Access when you’re done, triple click the power button on the side of your phone.
Simple and stable
Perfectly simple for what it needs to do. I use it to airplay the phone camera feed to a TV.

Any chance a setting can be added to switch between lenses? I’d love to also be able to use the wide angle lens while live-streaming
Great with OBS
I use it both as a webcam, and occasionally I airplay it to an Apple TV (non 4K) and use a USB C cable with it and I have a wifi camera I can move around.

This is amazing! Is there a way to get rid of the bar by coding the app differently? Also, is there a possible way to add a zoom feature without showing a control bar to zoom in and out. This would be very helpful for my iPhone 11 which has a .5x, 1x, 2x+ since i have three cameras.
Nice App, Some Enhancement Requests Below
Definitely appreciate this being posted for the use case described. I’ve noticed a couple details that would be great to resolve if the developers are so inclined, that would make this an even better app:
1) On an iPad (maybe the version before the most recent version?) The camera zoom is unusable in this app, as it zooms almost instantly. I don’t know if this is related to point 3 below? The issue isn’t there on an iPhone 11. A slower zoom would help a bunch so you could set the desired zoom level. This can be especially handy if multiple iPads or iPhones are connected to a computer/OBS, streaming less than their native resolution, for example, 1280x720. Zooming in that case will give you better resolution in OBS.
2) A manual focus option would be great, as continuous focus can cause some issues where an iPad camera “blips” as it focuses (unlike a newer iPhone where the focus is more gradual). I’d like to have a manual focus option available, so if I tap on a part of the screen, it focuses that area (kind of like the standard camera app, but without popping up the yellow square). Some apps like EpocCam have manual focus as default. (The drawback to EpocCam is it includes drivers for connecting to any computer, and those drivers aren’t always necessary - e.g. on iMacs - and can cause more CPU overhead and driver crashes.)
3) When connecting this up to OBS, at least with OBS set to having a 1280x720 resolution for the video capture device (and using an iPad) the resulting video feed has a lot of black space on the sides. I’m not sure if this is because the app was designed to force some fixed resolution or for an iPhone’s resolution specifically? Maybe that’s why the pinch to zoom described in 1 happens too quickly to set to desired level as well?
4) if I compare the camera view of this to the camera view on an app like True Visage, True Visage has a wider view (again, on an iPad, iPhone seems fine). This is even with the “Safe View” turned OFF. I’d prefer this not crop out any camera view. Maybe this is related to some of the feedback above and how the app was designed for this church’s particular needs and only optimized for an iPhone?
5) The status bar (battery state of charge, wireless strength, etc.) shows up over the camera view on the iPad I’ve been using when in landscape orientation. This is also true on an iPhone 11 when in Portrait Mode. This isn’t the case with the True Visage app referenced, so I think removing this is functionally possible. It would be nice to have a setting to just suppress this, in addition to the safe scene area setting.
Hope you don’t mind the suggestions. I love this as a purpose built app for the functionality desired. The reminders to configure various settings in advance as you open the app are a great idea too. My main requests would be for 1 and 2 above, the others are less important but nice to haves. We have multiple iPads available for streaming and our use case is connecting 3 of them for camera views in OBS. That’s why we’d love some of the functionality above to support iPads more as well, as other apps seem to be able to generically support both platforms despite the hardware differences.

Thanks for the suggestions! We've implemented a manual focus option as suggested. Some of the interface issues are related to working with React Native which is our build platform. We haven’t tested this on an iPad, so we will try it out before making future enhancements. Thanks for taking the time to write a review!
