About

Your child looks at the card at the top of the screen — a yellow fish with stripes, say — then casts a hook into the pond and goes looking for it. Fish dart away from a hook that rushes at them, and drift closer to one that holds still, so the trick is patience. When the right fish bites, a flick of the finger sends it spinning through the air and into the bucket on the boat. Big Red is after the same fish. He is a large and slightly ridiculous fish who eats anything your child misses, and every time he gets there first he grows a notch bigger and swims a little faster. Nothing is lost when he wins — no points taken away, no telling off, just a smug wiggle and a new card. Ten fish in the bucket finishes the level, and Big Red shrinks back down to size. There is no way to lose. No timers, no lives, no leaderboards, and nothing to read. FOR GROWN-UPS No advertising of any kind. No tracking, no analytics, no third-party code watching your child play. No data collected. The game has no server and plays entirely offline. No account, no sign-in, no email address. No in-app purchases and no subscription. Fun Fish is free. All of it, forever, with nothing held back and nothing to buy later — no trial, no unlock, no renewals. The one thing in here for adults — the privacy policy — sits behind a subtraction problem a young child can't answer. WHAT'S IN IT Levels that begin easy — just match the colour — then add patterns, look-alike decoys, shyer fish, seaweed to hide behind and, later, fish that change colour while your child is chasing them. Big Red gets bolder as they go. Sixteen fish colours and five looks: plain, spotted, striped, big-tailed and tiny-finned. Three badges for lifetime catches, at 100, 1,000 and 10,000. They never reset, and the bucket on the home screen remembers every fish ever caught. Sound can be switched off. Reduce Motion is respected. The game saves after every catch, so a half-finished level survives a closed app or a flat battery. ABOUT M+M GAMES Fun Fish was made by a dad and his eight-year-old daughter, at the kitchen table, for her and for kids like her. It is the first game we have made together.
