User reviews

No star

Most frustrating. Unable to print directions while working the layout. Directions not easy to follow to begin with. Faster to do a plan by pencil on a piece of paper. Put in one star since that seems be as low as you can get.

DO NOT DOWNLOAD

This app is not user friendly. We followed instructions and attempted to upload then draw our floor plan but with no avail. After 20
Minutes we were able to draw a square but then we were not able to get furniture even after having dimensions. I do not recommend this app. A total waste of my $1.

GARBAGE

Don’t waste your money

Nonfunctional trash

Should have read the reviews first, absolute nonfunctional trash. I want my money back.

Do not buy

Horrible app. I want my $1 back!

Response from developer

I am sorry you don't find the application useful or intuitive enough. Let me run through how you can use the application. To use the application you first need to create a floor plan under the first option. For a floor plan to be useful, you first need to load or take a picture of the floor plan, then press the ruler tab to indicate the length of a wall, for example. Next, you create furniture using the furniture tab which is the second tab. Furniture must have dimension to be useful. Lastly, you create arrangement using the third tab. You can slot furniture into the desired floor plan. Do let me know if you encounter any more issues and I will be glad to assist.

FAQ

What does the Furnish Layout app do?

This application helps you plan furniture arrangements for your home. You can upload a floor plan, input your furniture's dimensions, and then drag and drop those items onto the plan to see how they fit. It's designed to be a quick and easy way to visualize your space before moving or redecorating.

How do I use the measurement system?

To use the measurement system, you take a picture of your floor plan. Then, you indicate the length of just one wall in the floor plan. The app uses this information to reverse-generate the correct scale for the entire floor plan, allowing for accurate furniture placement.

Is the app free to use?

Yes, the application is free to use. There are no in-app purchases or advertisements mentioned, indicating a completely free experience for users looking to plan their home layouts.

What are the requirements for using the floor plan?

The floor plan you use in the application must be drawn to scale. If your floor plan does not have dimensions, you can try to find standard external door sizes (often 36 inches wide) to help determine the scale. Accurate dimensions are crucial for effective planning.

Can I use this app for more than just furniture?

Yes, besides furniture arrangement, you can also use the app to mark out specific locations for electrical installations. This includes planning where you want to install light switches, wall sockets, and ceiling lights within your floor plan.
