About
Fuseo makes photos of Japanese identity documents safe to submit.
WHAT IT DOES
- Capture a document with the camera or import it from Photos
- Fuseo identifies the document type (My Number Card, driver's license, health insurance card, residence card, certificate of residence) and suggests the fields that should be masked — each with the legal or practical basis shown
- Redactions are burned into the image pixels: nothing can be peeled off or restored afterwards
- Deskews the photo, exports clean PDF/JPEG/PNG copies (color, grayscale, or black & white), ready to share
THREE GUARANTEES
1. 100% on-device — no uploads, no account, no tracking. The app contains no networking code at all
2. Irreversible redaction — avoids the classic "highlighter that shows through" and "annotation layer" accidents
3. You always confirm before saving — automatic detection is a suggestion, never the final word
NOTES
- Automatic detection is not perfect. Always check for missed spots before submitting
- Some documents must be kept unmasked by law (e.g., certain tax forms) — check with the recipient
- The built-in presets target Japanese identity documents
Fuseo protects personal data, so its processing engine is open source (MIT).
